Having her fall asleep in my arms again. I love watching her chest rise and fall.
"Robin, help me!" Regina screams, "Help!"
"Where are you?" I yell back.
"Robin, I need you!"
"Where are you." I repeat.
"Robin!"
"Regina!" I yell once more.
"She can't hear me, can she?" says quietly to himself."Robin!" I hear louder this time.
"She must be close." I check every door down the long hallway. The lights flicker profusely
I start banging every door, turning the knob, shaking it back and forth. He goes to the last door on the right of the hallway.
"This door knob looks familiar."
I start shaking the door again, and repeating what I have done with every door."Is that you?" I hear on the other side.
"Regina, darling, if you can hear me, stand back." I say.
I kick the door down to see Regina. But she's dead. I check her pulse, no heart beat. I try resuscitate her, but nothing happens. Blood starts to surround us.
"Robin, Robin!" I hear, waking from my dream. "Hey, your sweating. What wrong, what did you dream about?" Regina says in the most calmest voice known to mankind.
"Nothing, it was nothing." I lie, but she sees right through it.
"Robin, you were saying, "I can't find you," repetitively in your sleep. Don't lie to me."
I take a deep breath, " I dreamt about yoy being locked in a room, where I couldn't find you, and tried every door, until I reached the one you were in. You couldn't hear me. I was too late when I busted down the door. You, you were dead."
"Robin, it's just a dream." I rub his back and kiss the edge of his shoulder.
"I know, but it felt so real. I was terrified." I explain.
"I know. Would you like some water? I'll go get you some. We can stay up longer and talk. Get your mind off of it?" She offers.
"Can I come down with you?"
"Mhm." She smiles at me, and gets off the bed and puts her dark purple slippers on her feet and her black robe.
We walk down the stairs and around the corner. I stop her and warn, "Watch the corner. Don't stub your toe."
"Thank you, Robin." She whispers.
We get into the kitchen and get two glasses of water, and sit at the island looking across from one another.
"I love you." I whisper looking down at my glass.
"I know you do. And I you. So, tell me about this date your raking me on. "
"It's a surprise, lovely. It's gonna be a special one, I can tell you that much."
"A surprise?"
"The best one yet, too." I get up and make my way to her stool and hug her from behind "I'm ready to go back upstairs, are you?"
"Yeah." She kisses the side of my cheek.
