Why did you let her get away that easy? God Robin, you can be so dumb sometimes. I need to get Roland, and tell him what happened.

" I am coming together Roland in a few moments, I will be there in about 15-20 minutes." I speak into the cell phone.

"How did it go with Regina?" The babysitter questions.

"Horrible, I am dreading telling Roland that Regina will be away for a month."

"What happened, you guys seemed so content and happy?"

"She wants to go on a break to figure out what has happened between her and I. She's been so distant, but she counters that and says that I have been also."

"Robin, I am so sorry." She says across the line saddened of what I have told her.

As we hung up the phone, Killian was at the door, unannounced, like usual.

"Mate, you're in trouble." He points a finger at me and shakes it.

"Well, hello to you to. Regina is the one that called it off. I have to pick up my son. Would you like to accompany me?" I ask.

"Sure mate!"

As we hope in the car, "What happened? Why did she call it off?" He looks at me concernly.

"She said there is nothing there in between us. She says, we will meet in one month at Granny's and discuss our relationship." I sat paying attention to the road.

"Mate, you need a drink, that'll ease your pain."

"I don't need a drink, I need to tell Roland what has happened." As we pull up to the babysitter's I give him the look to stay in the car and not say a word when Roland joins us.

"Papa! I missed you! Where's Gina?" He questions, "She comes with you most of the time."

"Roland, buddy, Gina isn't coming home for awhile."

"Why?"

"She is trying to figure out somethings, Roland." I say buckling him into his seat.

"Like what, Papa?"

"She is conflicted as of right now.  Attempting to avoid the question, I ask him if he would like to go to the park tomorrow.  He nodded and greeted Killian, and on we went home. Killian left to get more whiskey.

Roland and I watched movies for the rest of the day, he kept commenting on how it would be more fun with Regina around. I kept saying, "I know buddy."
