Chapter 18

KJ'S POV

"CAMI WHEN ARE YOU READY! It's already 8:44pm!!!!!"
I shout from downstairs, to Cami, who was upstairs in the bathroom and taking ages to get ready.
"I'm sorry one minute and I'll be down..."
I hear her.
"Fine, but just one minute!!!"
"Yeh"
I hear her mumbling and I can imagine how she's rolling her eyes right now.

MADELAINE'S POV

About 40 minutes ago Lili wrote me a WhatsApp, that she wants me to come to a party at Cole's.
"Trevis, I really don't think we have to go!"
I try to persuade him, that I don't want to go.
"Yes we are going!"
He says, pulling over one of his shirts.
"Pleeeaaassee... we can do another puzzle and watch a film... maybe Star Wars..."
I say. He turns around to me, with furrowed eyebrows.
"Mads, we've watched Star Wars like a thousand times.... all of them. Besides maybe this is a party, where all of your wounded friendships can heal."
He tells me.
He actually is right, but I'm scared that this won't happen. What if all the wounds just tear up even more ?

COLE'S POV

"All the drinks are over there in the freezer box, just get some if you want to"
I explain the guests.
" k thanks"
Ashleigh says.
Casey started to ask me a question but I got distracted by Lili, who was nervously running around behind us.
"Sorry Casey... I'll be right back"
I tell him, not even looking at him, standing up and walking away.
"Ooooh Sprousehart actiooon"
Is the only last thing I here from Casey.
"Hey, hey, Lili"
I say, grabbing her by her waist and pulling her to me.
"What's wrong?"
I try to calm her down, stroking her hair.
"I-I dunno... I just... ugh Cole, I don't think, I did the right thing to night..."
She stutters
"You mean inviting Cami and Mads?"
"Yeh"
She says looking away.
"Lili, first of all, they aren't even here yet so no need to worry and second of all, it's gonna work out fine, I promise"
She looks back into my eyes.
I kiss her, giving all my love and passion into it.
"And I think that'll tell you that I'll be there for you"
I say softly.
"Thank you Cole"
She says, giving me one last small kiss and then running off into the kitchen.
"We forgot the chips"
She shouts.

LILI'S POV

At 9:00pm, Cami and KJ finally came.
We all had a lot of fun and I tried to hide my nervousness, which worked quite well until Madelaine and Trevis rang the bell.
I open the door and Cole was right behind me with his arms slung around my neck and his head rested on my shoulder.
"Heyy you guys! Good to see you!"
I say.
"Heyyy! Good to see YOU!"
I could notice that Mads was as nervous as I am.
"Come on in"
Cole says, loosening his arms from around my neck.
"Hey Cole"
"Hello Trevis"
The boys both shake their hands.
After they've completely entered the house I turn around to see Cam standing further in the hall with a total shock.
I walk over to her.
"Cami... I-I thought... I'm sorry. I just don't want to have this tension between us anymore"
I explain to her.
"We were soo good friends before and we don't have to be best friends with her again but please can we at least bring peace back into our 'friendship' "
I continue as Madi, starts to approach us.
"Hi Cami"
She says, very nicely.
At least she has good intentions.
"Hi Mads"
She says, clearly faking her smile.
I turn my head once more to the door and luckily see Cole just opening Charles Melton the door.
"Aaah, look Charles here!"
I change the topic, before anything bad can happen.

SORRY THIS ISN'T REALLY THE PARTY YET, BUT NEXT CHAPTER WILL BE. I JUST FIND THIS IMPORTANT TOO SO 😂✨💗
