Chapter 25

CAMILA'S POV

Mads and I were sitting at a table in Starbucks with our milkshakes, waiting for Lili.
"Wow she's really running late!"
Madi claims, looking at her wristwatch.
"It's already 4pm"
She says.
"Yeah... weird. Normally she's never THAT late"
I say.
"But she's still not answering her phone"
Madi ends the sentence for me.
"Heyy"
Suddenly a fan comes from behind us.
"Hi my name is Lindsey and I'm such a big fan of Riverdale and I wanted to ask you guys if I could take a picture with you?"
She asks, as usual.
"Yeh sure"
Madi says, waving the girl to her chair.
Then I unexpectedly get a call from the police.
"Is it Lili?!"
Madi asks as she hears my phone ring.
"No... it's the police"
I almost whisper.
"Hello?"
I say as I answer the call
"Hello Mrs Mendes, are you the girlfriend of KJ Apa?"
A quite concerned but also very polite voice asks me.
"Uh-um yes"
I answer, making me serious worries.
"Well, your boyfriend had a car accident... there were two other people with him in the car, Cole Sprouse and Lili Reinhart..."
The man tells me.
My jaw drops. Fuck!
"... they're currently at the emergency station in the Vancouver General Hospital "
I feel how tears run down my cheeks. The heat in my body raising. My lungs grasping for air. My heart almost running a marathon.
"... Mrs Mendes, everything ok?"
The police man asks.
"Uh-...uh yeah... I uh... thank you for calling"
I cry quietly.
"It'll be fine Mrs Mendes. You can see Mr Apa at the hospital"
He says.
"Goodbye"
Is the last thing he says after ending the call.
My eyes are stuck to the floor. Me, still panting and tears still running down my red heated cheeks.
"Cami... Camila what's wrong?!?!"
Madi asks putting her hand on my knee.
"W-we have to go"
I blubber, standing up.
"What?! Cami what happened?!"
She says, trying to stop me.
"KJ, Cole and Lili had a car accident. They're in the hospital right now"
I tell her, crying.
"Oh my god..."
She says, firstly looking at the floor, the she turns around to the Fan, who stood there in a total shock. Shit ! I totally forgot about her.
"Sorry Lindsey, but we have to go now"
I tell her and we walk off.

In the hospital, I directly run up to Reception.
"Hi I'm Camila Mendes. I'm here for my friends Cole Sprouse, Lili Reinhart and my boyfriend KJ Apa, they had an Car accident"
I tell her, panting.
"Oh um yeah. Mr Apa and Mr Sprouse are fine they're in room 305 and in room 309. Lili Reinhart is still in the emergency room."
The Lady tells me in a very polite, but unemotional voice.
"What's wrong with her?"
Madi asks, tearing up.
"I don't actually... the doctors will tell you. For that time you can just wait in the waiting room"
She explains.
"And KJ can't we go to him? Or Cole?"
I question.
"Yes, you can go to them too"
"Ok thank you"
I respond, walking fast.

COLE'S POV

I suddenly wake up in a white room with a big headache.
I look around to see that I'm in a hospital room.
Trying to figure out why I'm here, I go through all the memories that I have from this day.
I know how we were on our way to Starbucks and had a lot of fun, laughing about some songs.
And then I remember the Car. The car that was coming from the wrong direction.
I remember the last screams from Lili, before the loud crash.
Fuck! WHERE IS LILI?! And where's KJ?!
I wanted to stand up, but as I get up I get a huge blast of plain running through my head.
What happened?!
Suddenly th door opens.  I expect a doctor to come in but instead Madelaine came in.
"Hey Cole. You're up?"
She asks softly, walking in.
"What are you doing here?"
I hear the words come out of my mouth.
"Yeah... well Cami got a phone call, from you accident and we directly came. The lady at the reception told us your room numbers and we came to see you"
She smiles.
"How are you feeling?"
She asks.
"I have a bad headache..."
I groan, lying back onto my cushion.
"So KJ and Lili are fine too?"
I turn my head to her. She sat on a little plastic chair next to my bed.
"KJ is fine, he's two rooms further on from here..."
I see how she tears up.
"... Lili is still in the emergency room"
She tells me.
Fuck! No! That can't be!
"What?!"
I say, sitting myself up again. But I can't stand it long after the pain hits me again.
"Cole... you have to lie down again, ok? Lili is going to be fine. Maybe they're just doing some more check ups. The lady at the reception couldn't give us anymore information. She's probably doing well."
Madelaine says.
I feel how tears stream down my cheeks.
