Don POV.

I made Leo stay in bed the next few days. For one of the few moments of his life, he didn't argue with me. I wasn't surprised because the poor guy just needed some rest. After what he had told me, the way he had subscribed the dream, I had the feeling it was more than that. To him, it always felt like it was really happening. I shivered at the thought.

After the next few days, he was more like his leader-self. Daily breathing treatments and Splinter's herb tea helped him physically, but the nightmares didn't let up. Tonight was especially hard for him. I watched as he tossed and turned, finally waking up screaming. He was hyperventilating so bad, I couldn't keep his mask on that I had ready. I had to go and wake up Master Splinter, even then it took us a hour before I was able put on his mask. This gentle vibrating sound of the Nebulizer and the soft his from the mist seemed to soothe him into a restless sleep. He was curled up in Master Splinter's arms now, a blue blanket wrapped around them both.

Splinter looked up at me and our tired faces met. We were both thinking the same thing. Leo's nightmare was just a dream, it was an omen...

A few days later...

It was finally the day the turtles were ready to face the Shredder. Master Splinter was to fight with them on this final battle. They made their way through silently through Shredder's evil fortress, and into his unwelcoming throne room.

Raph POV.

I thrust my sais into another Foot-bot, silently deactivating it. We were almost to the Shredder's throne room. My brother's and Master Splinter made quick work of the remaining Foot. Now we were standing right in front of the doorway. Hiding on either side, Donnie and Mikey on the right, me, Splinter, and Leo on the left. Leo was in front of me looking to see if the ghost was clear. From what I could see, everything was pitch black 'cept for the light from the pools surrounding the room.

I felt my nerves twitching in my hands. I was getting impatient. My knuckles wanted meet Shredder's face, but I forced my forced my self to stay still. I needed to stay focus. Splinter was counting on us to finish this.

When we've won this, then we can finally live in somewhat peace. I thought.

I saw Leo move his hand, giving the motion that everything was clear. Donnie popped his around the corner.

"He's right where you said he'd be Master Splinter, right on his throne!" He whispered.

His voice was laced with worry, but I ignored it, even though my own fear was rising in my chest.

Leo gave a nod. We all readied our weapons.

"On three..."

"One..."

"Two..."

"THREE!"

We all sprang ourselves at the Shredder, who was sitting on the throne. I felt my weapons pierce something soft. Sand started to stream down from the wounds I just made from the Shredder's chest.

Something isn't right. I thought.

"What the shell is this?!" Mikey's voice whispered somewhere in the darkness.

"Everyone get back! It's a trap!" Leo shouted.

Twang! Twang! Twang!

I was only able to grab one of my sais before a volley of arrows buried themselves where I had stood. My other sai was still sticking out the fake Shredder's chest, that was slowly deflating from the lack of sand that held it in place.
