"You should really talk to him you know." Dokyeom said to Mingyu.
Mingyu didn't bother talking to Dokyeom, he didn't care to explain the reasoning behind his actions.
"He's worried. Yesterday he found out my number and wouldn't stop asking where you were."
Mingyu tried to act calm and hesitantly asked, "what did you say?"
"I told him you were busy."
"That's all? Is he okay?"
"If you're that worried then call him bro, it's been two weeks you can't leave him like that."
"You wouldn't understand okay."
"Listen Mingyu, I know I don't get it, and I never will. But you know why I never will? It's because I won't ever have a trashy boyfriend like you who doesn't pick up my calls and pretends I'm not alive."
Mingyu was visibly upset from Dokyeom's sense of reality. But, Mingyu did feel the urging need to call him every day.
His phone rang again and his heart sunk knowing it was a call from his love.
But, it wasn't Wonwoo calling, surprisingly it was someone else. A number Mingyu was familiar to. It was the man that wanted Mingyu away from Wonwoo.
His deep voice creepily came through the phone, "meet me tonight," he aggressively spoke "you can have your boyfriend back, I will send you the address. Bring $6,000 or the boy gets hurt."
He hung up slowly. Mingyu quickly called Wonwoo. Although he was slightly choked up after the call he still asked Wonwoo if he was okay.
"You haven't answered my calls in two weeks, and you're gonna ask if I'm okay? Mingyu no I'm not okay! I miss you so much."
"...I miss you too Wonwoo, but listen to me, please."
"Go on..."
"I'm coming back tonight-"
"Why should I let you?"
"Wonwoo, please just hear me out, I will explain everything when I'm back. If I'm not at your place by 1:00am then please call Dokyeom and he'll know where to find me."
"Where are you going?"
"I'm going somewhere to save you. I love you, please don't worry."
"I don't understand, but you seem serious about this so... good luck, I love you too."
Mingyu regretfully hung up. He had planned this day ever since the first call from this mysterious man.
When the time came by he gathered the stuff he needed, his phone, a gun, and most importantly the bag that was supposed to be full of the money that he didn't have.
He walked to the nearby address that was sent to him minutes after the call. He was nervous, his hands were shaking and his legs were wobbly.
"Whoever wants this money, come out now!" He shouted.
He set down the empty bag in the middle of the sketchy building.
"Is that all of it?" A voice spoke out from the darkness.
"Yes, every bit."
"Leave."
"Show me who you are."
"So you can call the cops after you leave? No way."
"Fine I'll go."
Mingyu slowly stepped away from the bag he left and walked towards the way he came in, except when he walked out of the building he didn't keep walking.
He waited, after a minute, he quietly walked back in to see the man picking up the empty bag.
Mingyu hesitantly pulled the gun out from his waist, "did you really think this would work?" He held the gun pointed to the man with dark hair.
"Please don't shoot. I need the money for my family!"
Mingyu figured something like this would happen, every phone call he'd get, the man sounded less certain the more he called. He could tell the man didn't want to do this.
"Walk away and I won't do anything to you, just please don't hurt Wonwoo."
"I'm... sorry." The man shakily voiced out.
"I don't have money in the bag, I don't even have a job, just please help your family without putting yourself or others in danger."
"You wouldn't even understand."
"I know I wouldn't, but I also won't understand what it's like in jail after I call the cops on you."
"No! Please! I'll never do anything like this again, just please don't call the police. My mom, she's sick, I just needed the money please understand." The man was in tears.
"Go home and help her. She needs you right now, go."
With that both walked in their opposite ways. Mingyu walked back to Dokyeom's and packed his stuff.
"I'll see you later Dokyeom, I'm going back to Wonwoo's."
"Good luck bro."
Mingyu shortly got to Wonwoo's apartment and knocked on his door.
Wonwoo opened it slightly, saw Mingyu's face, then opened it wider and greeted him with a tight hug.
"Hey! No fair, I'm the one who gives you the big hugs!"
He chuckled at what Mingyu said then quickly became worried, "what happened?"
Mingyu explained everything and by the end Wonwoo was slightly tearing up, "Gyu, you could have gotten hurt. Even... killed."
"He's gone now babe, don't be upset, I'm here okay."
"To stay?"
"Yes, I'm staying forever this time. I promise."
"I love you, Gyu."
"I love you more, Wonu."
