Chapter 4: Just a player

I opened the door and saw my friends smiling especially Lizzy. "Hey Coco"  they all said. "Sorry for taking so long, we would have been here sooner but you know" said Amanda motioning towards Lizzy.

"Ah never mind that! Is Ian here?" Lizzy said. Then I feel Ian walk behind me and say "Hey". Lizzy smil became brighter as she straightend out her floral patterned dress and cardigan.

"Ah come in!! Let's get this party started!!" I said motioning them into my apartment. They all walked in and took of their shoes before proceeding forward. I locked the door behind them. They looked around and noticed all my decorations.

"Wow, everything looks so nice Coco you did a great job!" Said Lizzy.

"Mmmmm it smells good too!" Commented Kevin.

"Well let's all dig in then!" I said as I sat down. Everyone else did the same.

"Thanks for the food!!" They all said. I smiled I was happy today was going well. Much better then I expected seeing how Ian was here. I suddenly had thoughts of how he but his arm around me. I felt myself blush a little. What was I thinking!? What if he thinks I've fallen for him?? Ugh I can NOT let that happen again. He's just a player. Nothing else. He'll just use me. I gave myself a quick nod of confirmation and snapped back into reality. Everyone was eating and talking. I served myself some fried rice and a few crab legs along with 2 egg rolls. I loved food. I ate my fried rice and noticed Ian was staring at me. I caught him and he quickly looked at his food and took a bite of an egg roll. His eyes widened and he looked down at his food and started eating more with a smile on his face. I nodded in disapproval.

"Whut?" He said with his mouth still stuffed. "Its not my fault your such a good cook" he said again. Yeah Coco, this is delish!" Said Amanda.

"Thanks Everyone I'm glad you liked it". I said with a smile. Then a phone started ringing. It wasn't mine so I didnt bother but it was Ian's. He picked up the phone.

"Hello?....oh Hey beautiful " he said. I almost spat my drink hearing him say that. " Yeah sorry for not making it I remembered about having dinner with some people and decided not to come. I didn't want to disappoint them........No I can't come tomorrow I have work sorry.....on Saturday? Yeah I'll go then..... alright beautiful see you there....okay bye" he hung up the phone.

"Who was that bro? A girlfriend?" Said Kevin. "Nah but maybe soon she will be" he winked. "In less than a week I'll be dating the most beautiful girl in school" he said with a smile. "Good for you" I said with a fake smile. He must've realized what he said in front of me can use he look embarrassed "Uh yeah. Thanks."he said.

I knew it. He was a play boy and I was played it made me so angry that he said all that in front of me after he was so touchy. After today I want nothing to do with him. Everyone went back to eating and we all sat near the T.V watching a movie. I was still in the kitchen cleaning up and washing dishes. "Hey Coco, come over here and watch with us. You can finish those later" said Amanda motioning her hand towards them.

"I rather them out of the way now, besides I'm almost done" I flashed a smile. " Oh okay, but hurry, it's getting to the good part!" She said. I nodded my head and she went back to watching. While washing the dishes I could only think about how angry I was. That freaking guy thinks he can have any girl he wants huh? Did he really think he could seduce me by all of that. Haha nope, he's just a pig. Besides I won't have to deal with him ever again. I gave myself a smile and finished the last dish. I then wiped my hands dry, took off my apron and grabbed a tray of cupcakes and cookies from the oven which I had hidden and I brought them over to my friends and Ian. We all ate them as we watched the movie. It was fun.

After the movie was done Lizzy started giggling and pulled something out of her purse. "I have a surprise everyone~". She held up 2 boxes of pocky and I immediately knew what this meant "Nope" said crossing my arms and looking away. "Aww, come on Coco! Just one game wouldn't hurt would it?"She said. "Yes, yes it would, I am not going to no matter what". I replied. "Ughh you're no fun!" Lizzy said. " I'll go first! Wanna do it with me Ian?" She said holding out the pocky stick. "Sure " he said putting one end into his mouth. Lizzy went ahead and put the other end in her mouth. I could clearly see her blushing. They both started eating the pocky bit by bit, and with each bite their faces got closer and closer until they were one inch away. I honestly didn't care that much and let it happen. Lizzy was caught staring at him and Ian took this as an advantage. He took the rest of the pocky and leaned back up to his sitting position. "I win" Ian said giving her a smirk and winking. Then he ate the rest of the pocky he still held from his mouth. I looked back at lizzy who's nose started to bleed and she fainted.

"Huh, well that's Lizzy for ya, right Amanda?" I said as I  looked at Amanda but to my surprise she was knocked out too. No the me and kev face palmed. I stood up and went to wet a two small towels as Kev picked up the two girls one by one and placed them on the couch. I put the two rags on each of their foreheads and then wiped the blood off lizzy nose. I picked up a box of pocky and grabbed a stick and popped and one end into my mouth and started biting on it. I offered one to Kevin then Ian. We watched TV until both Lizzy and Amanda woke up. After that both him and the girls left. Leaving just me and Ian alone once again which was extremely uncomfortable. I rubbed my eyes and yawned stretching as I did so. Ian looked at me and stretched as well.

"I think I should be going so you can get your rest" he said as he stood up. "This was a lot of fun thanks. Oh and sorry about earlier. You probably thinking a douche for doing all that to you then flirting with a girl and calling her the most beautiful girl in school so-" I cut him off . "Forget about it okay? Besides don't flatter yourself thinking that I had fallen for you in the first place okay?". I gave him a cold stare and started to pick up the cookie and cupcake tray and walking toward the kitchen placing the leftovers in on the counter. I looked back at him and he had a hand behind his neck rubbing it. 

"Well, see ya around I guess. Bye Coco". He walked towards the door put on his shoes and left. I let out a deep sigh. I walked towards the living room and cleaned everything up. I then headed into my room to change into some pajamas. Afterwards I went to the bathroom to brush my teeth wash my face etc. Then I went to bed. I checked my phone and it was already midnight. I adjusted myself into my bed and looked at the darkness that surrounded me. My cats were already next to me and I pet them as they were asleep. I couldn't stop thinking about the days events. He's just a player. Nothing more nothing less. After a few minutes my eyes started to get heavier  and my body felt at peace. After a few seconds I let my sleepiness consume me and I fell asleep. My first day of school went okay but now the rest of my journey was about to begin.
