She was a priestess in her time, and she was serving Athena the Goddess of Wisdom. Medusa was so beautiful that many men desire to possess her, then when Poseidon saw her beauty he raped her, Athena was so outraged that she cursed medusa, her skin cracked like the dead, her once beautiful golden locks of hair turns into snake.
But the curse was not over
Her eyes was said can panatrate through lies, she can see through the soul and turn anyone into stone
Many men tried killing her for honour, but only one succeed
Perseus, son of Denis a mortal and Zeus the king of Olympus and a demigod, killed medusa with the help of Hermes' sword, helmet of invincibility and the size changing wallet and Athena's sheild
Medusa was killed for honour
