The ending of the original chapter is as cheesy as cheese, save me.
Alex's POV
We ran for hours. We didn't know whether the Nether monsters would chase after us, or whether they would destroy everything within a certain radius of the village. So we ran until the sun was starting to set, then Fury found a tree for us to sleep in for the night. We were hungry, but all of us were too tired to go hunting for food. The tree branches were thick enough to lie down on, Fury showed us how to secure ourselves so that we wouldn't fall out while we slept."So.... what do we now?" Jade asked the next morning. We were all still sitting in the tree. Even Wolf had gotten up here somehow and was now sitting in Fury's lap.
"We know what we need to do to make the monsters weak again," Zip said. "We have the direction, we just need to follow it."
"Uh, Zip? You do remember what's on that list right?" Tim asked.
"It's not impossible Tim."
"It wasn't when we were at the village and they had supplies! Now we're out here, with nothing but our weapons."
"Then we'll get supplies!" Zip told him.
"Zip," I said softly. "We grew up in a village. We don't know how to make axes or pickaxes or armour or anything. We always had others to do that for us."
"Woah wait. You guys don't know how to make weapons?"
This was the first time Fury had properly spoken since we had left the village. Even the night before, she hadn't spoken many words. She was looking at us all with shocked expressions.
"Well.... In the village, we always had other people to make weapons for us," Luke told her.
She shook her head slowly, like she couldn't believe it. "How have you guys survived this far?" she muttered to herself.
"You know how to make weapons?" Jade asked.
She nodded. "I've made a lot. I can't even remember how many pickaxes and axes I've gone through over the years."
"Do you know how to make armour?"
"I would have brought my own armour if I knew this was going to happen to us."
"Even if we have armour and everything we need, the chance that we'll be able to get all of this stuff is so small it might as well be impossible!" Tim said.
Fury tilted her head slightly to the side. "Why? What do we need?"
Zip took the piece of paper out of her pocket. "We need to make a potion," she said. "I wrote down the list of ingredients and how we make it. The easier things are sugar, ender pearls and bone meal. We also need glowstone dust and an enchantment table."
"Easy," Fury said.
"And the Axe of the Zombie King and an Ender Crystal."
Fury frowned. "The Zombie King has an axe?"
"Apparently it's enchanted or something."
"So," Luke summed up, "we need to kill a bunch of monsters, find the Zombie Kingdom and break into the castle and get out alive, mine a lot, travel to the Nether to get glowstone dust and travel to the End to get the Crystal where we need to kill the Ender Dragon to get back here."
"I just don't see how we can pull this off," Tim said.
"What had we got to lose?"
All our eyes flicked to Fury. Her body was tense, and there was fire in her eyes. "What have we got to lose?" she repeated. "We've already lost our family and our home, we're basically back to nothing. We have nothing left to lose."
