Dean x Reader - Reader goes though some very personal family tragedy and get some unexpected help from Dean.

Your phone going off  woke you up earlier than you really wanted. You rolled over and grab your phone off your nightstand.

  You looked at the number and saw it was your younger sister  . You frown  Katelyn rarely called  you  unless it was important . You got an uneasy feeling in your stomach .

    " Katelyn what's up ?" you asked as you sit up in your bed.  " y/n  it mom "  Katelyn replied crying..  Your heart dropped to the pit of your stomach .

  "What is going on ?"  you asked  " she in the hospital  they think she had a stroke. " Katelyn said  "When ?" you asked climbing out of bed and already reaching for your clothes.

  " Earlier this morning   I came by to check on her and found her on the floor of her bedroom" Katelyn said  "The  doctors   says it bad  " she said.

  " I am on my way give me 3 or 4 hours and I will be there " you told her  "Thanks " Katelyn said " I will call you if anything changes  "

    You hung up and started throwing clothes into a bag  . There was a knock on your door  before it open .   Dean poked his head into the room

 " I was coming to see  if you wanted breakfast  " he said glancing over at the bag on the bed   he step into the room "What is going on  ?" he asked

    " it my mom  she had a stroke earlier  and is in the hospital  the doctors  think  it bad  "  you told him.  "So I am heading out to be with her and my sister  " you shut your bag and zipped it up  .

    Dean frowned  "Do you want me and Sam to come with you  ?" he asked " you probably shouldn't be alone now  " he offered  

    You smiled  but shook your head "no it ok  " you said " You two have been on the road for weeks and  just got back yesterday  you need to rest " I will be fine  "  you told him

    " I wouldnt mind  " he said   You knew he was being honest   that was who Dean  was . That was part of the reason you had feelings for him but due to your own insecurities  you never said anything.

    " I know you wouldnt  but  I will be fine  " you said  " well can you at least promise me to call every day  so I  will know you're fine "  he asked  .

    " yes I promise  " you replied as you picked up your bag  "  I am not sure how long I will be just depends on what happens with my mom  " you told him .

 He nodded  " we will be ok  just take your time  " he said pulling you into a hug  . For a minute   you  let yourself relax into the comfort of his embrace.

  But  you finally pulled away  " I will see you later  " you said softly meeting him in the eye .."yeah  I will call you later to check on you  " he said

    You made yourself  walk out  instead of  falling back into his arms  . You  didnt have the time for that right now  .

  The only family you had left was your mother and younger sister. Your dad died when you were  15 .  Neither your sister or you mom knew   that you were a hunter  . All they knew was that you traveled a lot for your work.

     You tried to get home as much as possible  but now as you find yourself rushing into the hospital  you realize that it wasnt  often enough.
