~chapter 13~

I'm running.

I don't know why, or where to, but I'm running. I can see Allison, only the side of her head though, but with every step I take she gets farther and farther away from me.

I try to speak, or call her name, but my throat will not allow it.

And then I stop.

She's with a boy. He has dark brown curly hair that covers his ears, and light pale skin. She seems happy, laughing and smiling. But when she turns her head toward me, her eyes are pitch black.

-

I wake up sweating. I try to take deep breaths, but they instead come out as short little coughs.

As I sit up, I think of the boy again. I try to think but no one I know looks like that. I look over at the clock, it reads 3:56 am.

It's no use trying to go back to sleep, so I grab my phone and look to see if Allison texted me at all. She did.

I'm sorry, I can't be talking to you anymore.

I wonder if I should text her back, or if she'll even answer. I have her in two of my classes, so it shouldn't be hard for me to find here.

Once I pick my phone, my eyelids start to get heavy, and the last thing I remember is my door opening slightly, and someone saying "Stay quiet, don't say a word."
