~chapter 5~
All the things that could be wrong flash through my mind. Are we gonna lose our house? Are him and mom getting a divorce? And the worst one, does he know my secret?
My thoughts were interrupted my my dad clearing his throat.
"I just wanted to say that I know your growing up and can have trouble with teenage years.." His voice trails off. "And?" I ask.
"Well I'm saying if you need someone to talk to your mother and I would be glad to help you." Great, so my parents want to help me with 'teenage problems'. Longest semester of middle school ever? I think yes.

My eyes flutter open and I realize it's morning. I guess I fell asleep after dad left. I look at the clock and my eyes jerk open. I'm running thirty minutes late! I grab a long sleeve shirt out of my closet and throw it on. Along with skinny jeans and uggs. I glance at myself in the mirror and am kind of scared by what I see.
Once I'm done brushing my hair I don't even bother with makeup. I just run down stairs, grab an apple and head out to the bus stop.
The bus is probably my least favorite part of the day. Getting called names, the teasing, and people throwing things at me. One time someone threw their gum in my hair and I had to cut it out! That was the year of hats and big headbands.
Once the big yellow monster of terror rolls up I hop on and see the that there are already people on the bus like usual. There's Marcus, the jokester. He doesn't bother me much until he's with his friends. Also there's Tina, she's pretty nice. Doesn't bully me, but doesn't talk to me either. Usually there's one more person on the bus, her name is Lauren. Aka, cheerleader/ main bully.
I breath a sigh of relief when I don't see her. But just 'cus you don't see something, doesn't mean it's not there.
