Chapter 13: Love and Death

Lucy

I ran to Camellia, using my healing magic, I quickly tried to heal her. But nothing happened...

"Work dammit!! WORK!! Why aren't you healing her!!! DAMMIT!!"

I repeatedly kept changing the spell. Crying, I kept on performing, she cannot die.

"Camellia c'mon!! You gotta work with me"

She put her hand on my cheek and caressed it.

"Lucy, thank you for being there for me. I love you so much, sadly you cannot heal me, Nex put a spell on me which can only be—"

"I don't care about that!! I don't care about Nex, you said you would stay by me, we would rule the world, y-you said, y-y-you s-sai—"

•FLASHBACK•

"Hey Cam, will you promise me something?"

I stared at the ground, not making eye contact. She walked over and sat on my right and looked at me.

"Yeah ofcourse what is it?"

I looked up making eye contact with her.

"Promise me, that you will never leave despite me being so weak."

Camellia looked at me for a moment, seeing how important this is to me. I started to doubt her, until she gave me the biggest grin.

"You're not weak Luce. I would stick by you even if I had to die, don't worry.."

She got up and looked outside the window.

"... we're gonna rule the world together, side by side"

She turned around to face me and smiled, I grinned back at her.

How lucky was I to get a partner like her.

•FLASHBACK•

"C'mon Luce I can't stop Nex, you have to, don't risk the world for me"

I looked at her, she was in pain, she was right, I smiled at her. She started to disappear, from her legs upwards.

I put my forehead on hers, I closed my eyes taking in this moment.

"Thank you Camellia Heartfilia, your existence will not be forgotten, you are apart of this family, you stood by my side, thank you so much"

She smiled at me, and looked at me.

"Kick his butt for me"

I chuckled at her.

"No worries"

She then disappeared right in my hands.

Not to long the fire wore out the guilds helped clean up, its not gonna be the same with out Camellia, but I think it's gonna be harder on Zen.

He had the biggest crush on her, he was gonna ask her out on a date on her birthday, but now he will never get the chance.

I spotted Zen sitting on one of the stadium seats, I sighed at the young boy. I walked towards him, his head was dropped to the ground, I took a seat right next to him.

"Hey"

I greeted him, trying to be light with him.

"Hey"

"So how you holding up?"

"Fine..."

"Doubtful."

"Camellia was everything to me, we did everything together, why'd he chose her and not me!!"

"What good would that do?"

He raised a brow at me.

"Cam, would have been just as sad, she loved just as much as you did."

He looked at me with teary eyes.

"Really..? Like actually?"

I chuckled at him on how dense he was, kinda reminded me of Natsu, I sighed and looked at him.

"Y'know I liked someone just like you."

He stared at me with wide eyes, I laughed at his reaction, and softly punched him on his shoulder.

"Yeah truth be told, I did, he was also my partner, we did everything together, he saved me so many times, he was strong and loving, he loved his family...Well most of his family, sometimes he would even barge into my house...Yeah we were close...But, uh things changed, he found someone else, I left the guild...We took different paths"

He looked at me. Did I have something on my face?

"Do you still have feelings for this guy??"

...Do I? Do I still like Natsu. Even if I did, its not like, he likes me.

"Maybe...Just maybe, c'mon let's go to the other's, the GMG is postponed, since what happened"

He agreered and we went back to the rest.

I guess it's a love and death thing...
