Chapter 10: Wasn't even getting started

After the Black Rose defeated Lamia Scale, the two teams returned to their station, while the Lamia Scale members rested in the infirmary room.

Next day

"Hey Lulu?"

Lucy turned around to the exceed.

"Yeah? What is it?"

Camellia looked at Lucy with worried painted on her eyes.

"Are you okay? You seem down"

Lucy grinned at the exceed, glad to see she was looking out for her partner.

"Yeah, I'm fine. I've been away from Fairy Tail for so long, I forgot how it felt to be happy, seeing my old friends was truly a blessing, but..."

Camellia stared at Lucy waiting a her to finish her sentence.

"I-I told them I would come back, and I want to...But I can't I don't want them to get hur-"

"Sh"

Camellia looked at Lucy, trying comfort her.

"I know it's hard, but when the times right, you can tell them that you don't hate them, and that you're trying to save them, this isn't your fault its-"

"Hey guys!"

The two girls turned their heads to only see a puffed out Zen.

"There you guys are! They're about to start the next match, let's go!"

The girls ran with Zen to their side of the stadium, watching the 'pumkim man' speak.

"Kabo! Kabo! Wasn't that fun! Next will be a game called 'Capture the Flag' to play this game, it consists of one member of your guild, when your member is picked, the goal is to collect as many flags around the obstacles, but when a member crosses another member trying to get the same flag, you must take them down to claim your flag. The member with the most flags win the game!"

Each team chose a member to participate in the game.

Sabertooth: Rufus
Lamia Scale: Lyon
Mermaid heel: Kagura
Fairy Tail A: Wendy
Fairy Tail B: Laxus
Quatro Cerberus: Jäger
Black Rose: Takeshi

As the 7 players all stepped into the arena, a force field covered them. There where different type of flags floating in the air. Get and protect. That's how it's played.

"On your marks.."

"...GO!"

The some players rushed in the air, trying to get the flags from the other players, some stayed at bay protect their flag.

Hearing the crowds roar, teams cheering for their mates, the intensity during the match, drove the fans crazy.

"1 point for Lamia Scale! Mermaid heel is out!"

While Kagura was fighting with another opponent, Lyon took that time to swipe her flag, getting him one point.

You could see the disappointment on the girls faces, but they still had faith they could win.

Takeshi was still on his flag, concentrating on some type of spell. Not yet moving.

"Two points for Fairy Tail B! Fairy Tail A and Lamia Scale is out"

Laxus was able to beat Lyon, which gave him one point, but just as Rufus beat Wendy and get her flag, Laxus quickly snatched the flag, giving him another point.

"Two points for Black Rose!! Sabertooth is out"

Takeshi took this moment too take both of their flags. With a cheeky grin on Takeshi's face, Laxus and Rufus stopped fighting and looked towards the 'pumpkin man'

"Looks like a tie! Ladies and gentlemen! We're are gonna have to go to the Power Meter for this!"

Two men carried out a crystal ball, which measures your power depending in how hard you hit it.

Laxus went first. As his lightning shot down upon the crystal ball, so did the Power Meter.

"As expected from a S-Class mage, Laxus hit a 994 points!!"

Takeshi took his stance, and in a blink of an eye...

".....He...Broke it?"

Everyone was curious, yet mostly surprised, but just like that the crowd erupted to cheers.

Takeshi left the arena, yet Laxus was trying to figure out what just happened.

"Black rose wins once again!!"

Little did they know, that Black Rose...

Wasn't even getting started.
