Michael's pov

I shook Soph until she wake up, which it wasn't longer after the initial shock. I was shocked too, I had no idea of what my mom was doing in Soph's house...

"Michael."

"Yeah?"

"I think I know what is happening right now." - she told me.

"What?"

"So, this is hard to say but my dad told me this morning he was going to present me his new girlfriend."

"And what exactly does it have anything to do with my mother?"

"She... she might be his girlfriend." - she told me quietly. I was perplexed, how could she's been dating my best friend's father without me knowing? She has a lot to explain me.

"I can't wait any longer. I'm coming, do you come with me?" - I asked.

"Yes."

We made our way to the door and rang the bell.

"Welcome home sweetie!" - her dad greeted her.

"Hey dad."

"I've been waiting for you to come home to tell you this" - he hasn't seen me yet, I don't know how, but he kept talking until Soph told him I was here too.

"Sorry boy. I didn't see you there. Come in."

Me and Soph sat on the sofa. I could tell by her dad's face that he was going to tell her something important, I wasn't just sure if my mom was in it or not.

"Karen come here please."

My mom came out of the kitchen. What was going on between these two?

"Oh hey Michael." - she seemed surprised but happy at the same time. - "I'm glad that you're here too but how did you know that I was coming here?"

"Me and Soph are best friends so I took her home and I didn't know you were coming at her dad's house." - she seemed a little shocked but somehow happy.

"So you know each other." - me and Soph nodded our heads. - "It's easier to told you now since you met my boyfriend's daughter."

"What?!?" - we screamed in unison. I couldn't believe she was dating Jack! What I am going to do now?

"Calm down childrens. We're just dating and since you two are best friends that means that's everything okay."

"..." - none of us could say anything. It was too much to realize.

"And we're staying for diner, Michael." - my mom said. I just nodded my head and followed my best friend to the basement.

[At the basement]

"Can you believe Soph? How could they do this to us? We're their kids, it matters!"

"Mikey, calm down. And after all this isn't that bad, we can spend more time together."

"What? How can you accept this so well?"

"Because I want them to be happy. Don't you want your mom to be happy too?"

"I guess... at least I have you."

"You will always have. What about we shake the mood a little bit? We could play a couple songs."

"Seems nice to me."

"Let's go then. You go get the guitar and I'll get the micro."

A couple of Green Day's and All Time Low's songs after we headed upstairs for what would be the oddest diner ever.
