I walked down the hall, alongside Romeo as we screamed at each other, the usual. Finally reaching the door to detention, I moved the tray of drinks I was holding to my left hand, and used my right to open the door, making sure to turn to him and shoot one last comment before leaving.

"hey, for once in you life, stop fucking yelling at me!" I shouted, walking in the room and shutting the door loudly. as I looked around the room I noticed that the limited people here were all staring at me. Sadie, my best friend, in the back, she was grinning, holding back a laugh. the teacher, looked at me smiling. politely, not surprised by my actions. and then there were two boys at the other side of the room. One, I think his name is jaeden, he laughed and said "savage" when I walked in. and then beside him, sat the one and only, finn wolfhard.

I smiled at everyone, not a fake smile, a real one, from ear to ear, and finally stepped away from the door.

"hey, Joe" I greeted, setting his coffee down on the desk, before walking to the back and sitting in the seat beside sadie.

"Joe?" jaeden said questioningly.

"we're here everyday, Joe and us are pretty close I guess," Sadie said as she took the drink i handed her and took a huge sip of it. I laughed at how finn and jaeden looked at each other in confusion, covering my mouth so the drink i had in my mouth wouldn't spill out.

"why are you here everyday?" finn asked me. I tilted my head, looking at him with a straight face.

"why do you think?"

"if it's about Romeo, then why isn't he here too?" Sadie chuckled quietly beside me. finn looked at her, almost offended that she was laughing at his question.

"do you even know who Romeo's father is? he can get him out of anything."

"so wait, you're always in detention for fighting with him?" he asked and I simply I nodded.

"well thats pretty fucking dumb" jaeden said. finn nudged him as a way of telling him to shut up, but I laughed. jaeden's pretty funny.

"yeah, it is dumb"

"wait so if you're always here because of fighting with Romeo, then why is Sadie here?"

"I have nothing else to do, I come here to keep millie from getting bored, we usually just gossip."

"gossip about what?" jaeden asked sadie, raising his eyebrows and smirking.

"why would we tell you guys that?" Sadie shot back. Joe laughed at the front, sipping his coffee.

"if only these walls could talk" finn mumbled to himself, turning back around in his seat.

Joe said it was 4 so we could leave now, and as sadie was dragging me towards the door, I thought of something. so I stopped, sadie still holding my wrist, and turned to finn and jaeden as they threw their bags over their shoulders.

"hey, our friend wyatt is picking us up and then we're going to in and out, do you wanna come?"

finn looked like he was debating whether to say yes, and he hesitated before speaking up but jaeden cut him off before he could say anything.

"hell yeah! I love in and out. finn have you tried the animal style burger?" jaeden asked, his voice loud and excited.

"no, I've never had in and out before." jaedens eyes widened and I gasped. sadie's jaw dropped before she spoke.
