A Spark: Part 11

Jesse lay in bed, unable to sleep as thoughts swirled in her head.

Earlier, when Petra mentioned that PAMA was with the redstone heart, it threw everyone into panic. For the sake of everyone and herself, she suggested, or rather told everyone to get some sleep, and that they'd deal with the problem first thing in the morning.

She'd been hesitant herself, but hopefully everyone would calm down after some rest.

Petra's underground bunker had six rooms, for each member of the order and Ivor. But since the Blaze Rods joined and one member was missing, some people had to share.

There were eight people total. Olivia, Axel, Petra, Ivor, Aiden, Maya, Gil, and herself. 

Everyone had their own room besides Aiden and Gil, who had to share, and Petra and Olivia.

She was lucky to get a room to herself, and her thoughts.

So there she was, tossing and turning as words rang in her head.

You cannot defeat me this time Jesse.

I will find you, and when I do, I will make sure your whole world will fall.

She shuddered, and then closed her eyes as she fell into an uneasy sleep.

Jesse was surrounded by red as she stood, trying to make out her surroundings.

Where the hell am I? She thought, looking around.

Suddenly, there was a bright flash, quick as a blink.

There were bodies on the floor.

Her eyes widened, heart racing with adrenaline as she walked closer. She froze for a second, realizing that they were her friends.

She bent down, slowly, hands shaking as she turned the face-down body around.

"Petra-AH!" Jesse cried out and stumbled back, falling to the floor as she saw Petra, eyes red and blood covering her body.

Shock and fear took her by surprise.

"No, no-" she whispered as she saw all her friends covered in red.

"This is your fault Jesse." Petra hissed. "Why didn't you try harder?"

Jesse couldn't move, she stood frozen in place.

"N-no, I did. I tried-"

"You failed," Her friends chorused, standing up for their position on the floor, looking lifeless and dead, controlled and full of pain. "You failed to save us."

They walked towards her, arms reaching out as they grabbed her.

Jesse screamed, tears running down her face, unable to move.

PAMA's face appeared in front of her.

"Don't worry Jesse, you can join them."

Someone was walking towards her as she was held in place, a knife in his hand.

Lukas grinned, Jesse's heart almost stopped.

"You could have saved me Jesse. But it's too late now."

"NO! Lukas stop!" She cried as he took the knife, and pushed the point into her heart.
