Jesse held her diamond sword in a fighting stance, getting ready to strike the beating redstone heart in front of her.

Thump, thump, thump

It glowed bright with each beat, and made memories churn wildly. She thought about Harper, PAMA, the old builders, and then closed her eyes as she whammed her sword against the heart.

*Flashback*

"Ready everyone?"

"Ready."

"Alright, let's head out."

One by one, each member of the underground bunker headed out, the sun ready to set. They looked to check if anyone was watching before heading to their places.

There was a moderate amount of land before they reached the treasure room, but still, slow and steady won the race.

Ivor was the last one to head out. Jesse grabbed his arm and pulled him out with a grunt.

"You are surprisingly heavy." She groaned, somewhat playfully. He huffed.

"I am the appropriate weight for my size, thank you very much. And besides, I never asked for your help!"

He went to go with some of the others, who were huddled and talking. She shrugged. He would always be the same.

Jesse saw Petra and walked up to her, tapping her on the shoulder.

"Hey," she said, smiling weakly.

"Hey Jesse, what's up?" The redhead asked, returning the smile.

"Thank you." She replied, and then seeing her look in confusion, gestured to the blue-eyed blonde not far from them. Her mouth became an 'O' shape.

"You guys are... okay now?" Petra questioned hopefully. The other girl just shrugged.

"We're getting there."

"That's what I was hoping."

Petra gave Jesse a quick hug before taking out her sword.

"Okay, enough with the sappy stuff. We have some computer butt to kick."

**************************

The treasure room was in sight, but it wasn't the treasure room anymore. Instead, it was PAMA's base, a charging station. The building was broken down at some parts, and replaced with blocks of redstone and obsidian. Chipped people surrounded the outside, some even moving inside and out carrying materials.

There was a large batch of trees near there, so everyone took their places hiding behind them.

Ivor, Axel, Olivia, Gil, Maya, Aiden, Petra, and Lukas stood by Jesse's side, waiting for her signal.

A quick recap of the plan went like this: Ivor, Axel, and Gil would distract the chipped outside, Maya and Lukas would distract them on the inside, and Petra, Aiden, and Jesse herself would find the heart and destroy it. Water buckets were to ensure everyone's safety and a weapon. No one would be killed, only knocked out if something came up.

Jesse observed the outside for a few moments, watching the patterns of their movements. There were about twenty of them on the outside, with four coming in and out at certain intervals. She guessed that more of them were either inside, or somewhere in the other worlds PAMA had taken over.

Her hope was the second one.

She held two fingers up to signal the first group, and then waited until the four came outside before motioning to move.

Ivor, Axel, and Gil nodded before running toward the chipped people, yelling insults and waving their arms in the air like crazy people.

"Idiot!"

"Butthead!"

"Come here you piece of sh-"

"SHUT UP." The minions chorused, PAMA expressing its anger through their faces, but also something else. Excitement?

Jesse peaked from her hiding space as she watched as most of the chipped people were led away by the trio. Only four remained.

She smirked and gestured for the others to follow. They could handle four. PAMA seemed to fall for something so easily. Unless...

The rest of them ran, silently and quietly, sneaking up behind the chipped people and knocking them out cold with a few swift hits in the back.

"We have to hurry, PAMA's probably already onto us by now." Jesse whispered, knowing that it was connected to everyone, and could see mostly everything.

They nodded and one by one started to head inside after looking. Lukas went in first, with Olivia and Maya flanking him. Aiden, Petra, and Jesse waited for the all clear.

After a few moments, Lukas poked his head outside and gave them a thumbs up. Jesse nodded thanks and gestured for Aiden and Petra to follow.

When they were inside, Jesse had to retain herself from bursting out in shock. The treasure room was completely changed. Redstone lined the walls, floor, and ceiling. Basically anything mechanical and related to redstone. Piles of materials were stacked on top of each other and scattered around the room.

It had been fortified. Instead of quartz there was obsidian and more blocks were added so that the walls were even more thick.

It wasn't even a treasure room anymore. It was PAMA's lair.

And the strangest thing right now? It was completely empty.

She walked towards a pile of materials and bent down to examine it. Iron, more redstone, pistons, levers...

A jolt struck her right in the chest as she turned around to face her friends, memories striking back.

"Guys, where is everybody?" She asked, her voice barely above a whisper. Her friends looked at each other, fear in their eyes.

Suddenly a voice sounded from above them, or rather-all around them.

"It's about time."

Yay a longer chapter!
