Betty Cooper:

A week goes by and me and Jughead still haven't really talked about the kiss, or what it means for the two of us. And i'm scared because now all of this shit that's happening with Archie and the fact that he may like me. I don't even know if knowing this has changed my perspective over our 'relationship'. All I know is everything is so god damn' confusing.

One minute I'm so sure about my feelings for Archie and then I have a 'dream' about Jughead. Completely changing my feelings and then I get over Archie, or at least I think I got over him. Me and Jughead share a beautiful intimate moment, and then I find out that Archie may like me. It screws everything up. Life can suck sometimes.

And then there's the whole thing about how my best friend also has feelings for Archie, is this a TV show or something.  Because it sure feels like one theses days.

Why can't life be simpler, with me having feelings for one person only. To fall in love and hopefully not have ten times more drama than needed.

"Hey B," I hear Veronica's voice from beside me, pulling my attention from my messed up mind.

"Yeah V," I smile her way, pretending like I wasn't just having a conversation with myself.

"So I heard about this party this weekend, and I know that the last time we had one....Things went south, but it'll be different this time," she smiles over at me. My eyebrows furrow in uncertainty.

"How could it possibly be different," I raise an eyebrow, confused.

"Because it's at Cheryl's," she squints her eyes, trying to persuade me. "Please I promised her I'd come, and I know that it could go south again. But this time just make sure not to drink and I'll try not too," she brightly smiles.

"Ugh fine, but we aren't drinking," I point a finger towards her, she puts her hands in the air surrendering to nothing as a way to say okay.

"I promise," she smiles cheekily, knowing she's gotten her way.

                                                                                           **

"This time dress a little more, I don't know...sexier," Veronica smirks over her shoulder while walking over to my closet.

"You won't find anything sexy in there, trust me," I explain to her as she quickly examines my clothes.

"Hun, why so much pastel and cotton,"

"My mother, that's what I've always worn...Never thought to change my wardrobe I guess," I exclaim, seeing as she turns to me with a look of mischief.

"Do you want to change your wardrobe,"

"I wouldn't mind new clothes, but I literally have no money what so ever," I state, sitting up from my bed.

"Come with me," she sequels.

"Where are we going," I question with curiosity.

"Shopping...and before you deny my money...It's an early birthday present," she cuts me off before I could reply.

"My birthday is four months away," I chuckle, but she just shakes her head grabbing a hold of my arm and practically dragging me down the stairs and out my front door.

                                                                                  **

"Try this on, you'll look amazing in it," she smiles excited, grabbing a hold of items of clothes as we walk to the dressing room. Getting more excited every time she see's something that catches her eye.

I take the top and skirt from her grasp as she ushers me into a changing room. I glance down at the soft materials.  Here goes nothing.

.....

After what feels like hours we've finally picked out what seems like the entire store. Along with some shoes that Veronica quotes, "You can't buy the outfit without the shoes,".

Leaving the mall with at least a dozen bags, we head back to my house.

                                                                               **

"You look amazing," I hear Veronica squeal from behind me, pushing me in front of the full length mirror. So I can examine my outfit. It doesn't seem to look like me. I can barely recognize myself. I look pretty.

My blonde hair is straightened like Veronica tends to do sometimes herself. Making my hair at least two inches longer. My face glowing with a natural high light with a slight smokey eye. Followed by red lips. The outfit that Veronica had picked out was a red halter top showing off a little bit of my stomach with a black skirt ending mid thigh. I had to convince her to let me wear my converse, I'm not completely changing for the night. A silver pendent hung around my neck, and studs aligned the three ear piercings I had talked my mom into letting me get. I did indeed look pretty.

"Whoa," I mumble.

"You've always been like this Betty...you were just two afraid to show what you wanted people to see. Your beautiful you've always been," Veronica smiles over my shoulder.

"So are you ready to go," she changes the subject. I nod my head in response, glancing back at myself once more before following after her.

This is going to be a interesting night I know that for sure.
