Can I be your friend?
Is simple to say
But hard to carry out
Becoming friends may take a second, a day, a month or even a year
But breaking it does not even take a split second
Yet we put a cover, a facade
Pretending nothing's wrong
Yet we act like best friends
All sugary
But stab each other from behind
Just like a deceiving bitter fruit
So what are we?
Friends or enemies?
If we don't care
Then why do we still pretend
Put on a cover
In the process
Why are we making ourselves change to look like a coward, immature children that do not understand the value of friendships
Why has this become a dirty politics
Where we play dirty games with each other
In the process we are just falling apart
And making our other friends fall apart as they choose sides
Some of them are stretched to the maximum as we fight and smile and fight
Why put on a cover?
A facade?
Either we part ways or become best friends
Cause it's troubling
You and me
And the others
So let's remove the cover
