Their Future What?!

Chapter 1

"Ugh, why?" I complained out loud as I scrolled through my Instagram comments. I was hanging out with Fiona and Lidia at Fi and Andy's house.

"What is it?" Lid asked looking over at me.

"Everyone wants me to do a dance to Strip That Down for my next video," I replied sighing. I now made dance videos on YouTube along with  some makeup videos. I had posted on Instagram asking what fans wanted me to do next and a lot of them want me to dance to Liam's first solo song. The girls nodded in understanding. Liam and I hadn't talked since we "ended" a year and a half ago. We also somehow managed to not see each other in person for the same about of time. It wasn't like I was trying to avoid him. At least not anymore. I was a little right after everything happened.

"So what are you going to do?" Fiona asked.

"Listen to the song and start coming up with choreography I guess. It's what the fans want." I could the concern on their faces. "Guys it's fine. It's just a song. And based on the title, not a super emotional one. I'll be fine really."

"Alright. If you're sure," Lidia replied and I nodded. After a while longer I decided to go home. I needed to edit some videos and listen to Liam's song.

About a week later I hesitated as I stared at my laptop screen. It was time to upload the dance video Liam's song. I closed up eyes as I set the video to public. Now it was too late. The video was out for the world to see. I used a screen grab to post to Instagram. I also tweeted out the link.

Fans went crazy for the tweet and video. Some even seemed surprised since Liam and I used to date. Well "date" but to the fans everything was real. I followed some people who tweeted nice things then got offline. I decided to clean my flat. Mid-cleaning I got a text.

Liam is watching your dance video -Fiona

He's actually watching it? I knew he'd probably hear about it but I doubted he'd actually watch it -Kris

Yeah he and Andy are watching it in the living room. Liam is being really quiet but he's also not taking his eyes off you. -Fiona

Why are you telling me this Fi?? -Kris

She didn't reply after that so I went on with my day. My manager ended up calling around dinner time. Turns out she got me booked for a music video. The shoot was the next day. Apparently they had already had a dancer but it didn't work out. She sent me the details but it didn't say what the song was or who the artist was. I made myself a salad for dinner then relaxed with some tv. I went to bed around 9 since I now had an early call time.

In the morning I got dressed in yoga pants and an old tee shirt since they'd dress me on the video shoot. I also packed my make-up bag just in case. I drove to the location and sang along to the radio quietly. Once there I parked and looked around. I tried to get a glimpse of who the artist was but with no luck. Who knows they may not even be on set today. I went to find someone who could tell me where to go. After hair, makeup, and wardrobe, I waited to be called to do my thing. I was told that I'd be taught the dance on set. But so far no one had said anything about it. I played games on my phone while I waited.

"Kristen Brigham?" I heard a voice say. I looked up from my phone and stood up.

"That's me," I said.

"Come with me. The artist would like to speak with you. He requested you specifically after seeing some of your dance videos online." I followed the woman.
