Their Future What?!

Chapter 2

First thing in morning I sent an email to my agent. I wanted her to try and get an early copy of the video so I could watch it. I also told her to no longer accept jobs for me where they won't tell her the artist. No more jobs involving Liam either. Then I took a deep breath and went on Twitter. As I suspected fans already knew I had been on the set for the Get Low video. I scrolled through Twitter for awhile but eventually got off, tired of people assuming Liam and I got "back" together.

Hey why did you go to Liam's video shoot yesterday?? -Lidia

My agent got me a job on the video. When they sent the offer to her it didn't say who the artist was. I didn't know it was for Liam's new single until I got there. Trust me I wouldn't have taken the job if I knew it was for Liam's song -Kris

What do you mean? -Fiona

Yesterday was hell. I got paired with Liam because he had requested they try to get me for the video after another dancer quit or something. Dancing with him involved pretty much grinding on him for a good chunk of time yesterday. -Kris

Can I ask you something Kris and you not get mad?? -Lidia

What is it? -Kris

Do you still have feelings for Liam? -Lidia

I don't know. A little I guess. But for the most part I've moved on. I have a date tonight remember? -Kris

I talked to the girls for a little longer in the group chat about my date. It was with an old friend who had had feelings for me back then. But I was in a deep depression after Matt and he was splitting time between London and LA. I didn't do much the rest of the day until it was time to get ready for my date. I picked a simple outfit that looked nice but wasn't fancy. Then I did some simple makeup and fixed my hair. Then I waited for Val to get here. Shortly after I was done getting ready I heard a knock on the door. I smiled, knowing it was Val, and answered the door.

"Hey V," I said, giving him a hug.

"Hey Kris! You look beautiful," he replied and I blushed.

"Aw thank you. You look handsome yourself." He kissed my cheek sweetly. "So Mr. Chmerkovskiy, where are we off to tonight?" I asked.

"Well, Ms. Brigham, I thought we could go to Nobu then see where the night takes us."

"Sounds like a plan to me." I smiled and let him lead me down to the Uber. We got in the car and the driver headed to Nobu. "So how have you been? I haven't seen you in ages."

"I've been good. Peta had the baby and she and Maks are engaged," he said.

"Oh how's the uncle life treating you?" He chuckled and grinned.

"I love it. Shai is amazing."

"Well please tell Maks and Peta I said congratulations."

"I most definitely will. How have you been?"

"I've been good as well. I really love posting the dance videos on YouTube. I have so much more control than on Dance With Me. And I have more options than when I was teaching. Don't get me wrong, I loved teaching but this is something different and it's fun," I explained.

"I'm glad to see you happy again. It makes me happy." I giggled and kissed his cheek. We got to the restaurant and went inside. The hosted lead us to our table and I held onto Val's arm as we walked. Once we were seated Val brushed some hair from my face. "You really do look beautiful tonight."

"Thank you," I replied softly, blushing. He nodded softly. We looked over the menu and caught up. We had kept in touch over the past few years but it had been quite some time since we'd seen each other in person. We ordered our food and drinks. "So do you know who your partner is for the next season of Dancing?" Val was on an American dance show called Dancing With The Stars.
