The second audition came in a few years, again with Columbia. "The standout was deffinitly Beyonce and Kelly." Columbia Records recalls. "The confidance was higher, and they were ready." With little debate DC was signed.
The album Destineys child sold a mere 800,000 copies and one of their songs was featured in the Men and Black movie. Then came No, No, No:
"If you keep actin' this way
You're gonna lose my love
I ain't got no time to play
You better to be playin hurry up
Cause every time I come around
Crews run around your way
I see you on the corner
But you don't know what to say
When I walk up to you baby
You seem so shy
What's the problem baby
Never had a girl like I
I can see right through you
And you know you wanna be mine
So get your act together
Cause you're running out of time."
Time had just begun with the sucsess of No. No, No Part 1 and Destineys Child had a new beginning.
But what got Destineys Child a name was No. No, No Part II featuring Wyclef Jean. Instead of saying no, no, no to destineys Child fans were saying Yes, yes, yes. The song reached the billboard number one spot, the year was 1998.
