Fuck it list...

"Casey. Are you okay?" I heard his voice but my eyes didn't want to open. I could see the blinding light before I slowly lifted my eyelids.

"I'm fine. Considering." I mumbled as someone pushed a button on the bed making it sit me upright. My vision cleared up and I saw two guys sitting next to me.

"Elton. Colby." I muttered my voice hoarse. "I'll leave you two to talk." Elton mutters before he stands up and exits the room leaving Colby and I.

Colby keeps looking down at the floor as he twirled his thumbs.

"Hey, Thumbelina. I'm over here." I see a small smile form on his lips before he lifts his eyes to mine. He gaze glazes over as his eyes roam to my arm and leg in the thick casts.

"I'm fine, Colby. I can't even feel them." Colby nods his head slowly before his gaze goes back to the floor.

I sigh before I get an idea.

I need you in my life like limelight. Wherever I go I'm taking you.

I sing softly. Colby's gaze meets mine again.

Whenever I call you my lifeline. I never hang up I depend on you.

I continue.

You fly with me so I call you redeye. Sky's so clear when you're the view.

I only say it cuz I really mean it.

Colby joins me at the next verse.

"Just think, Colby. None of this was your fault. We decided to go there together. I'm lucky enough to be alive right now. I missed the rocks. Be happy, Colby."

The way he continues to stare at me, with that small smile on his lips makes my heart swell and my mouth almost water. My mind formed the 'L' word but I didn't want to say it yet.

But.

I love him.
