"Miss (Y/L/N)?" a voice called for me. I turned my head to see a tall man with jet black hair, looking for me. I raise my hand and he nods for us to follow.

I followed with Ethan, tagging along. The man brought us to a room with a table and three chairs.

"Have a seat,"

"Okay, Miss (Y/L/N). I need you to read over these papers and sign the bottom of each. When you're done, Eric Scheid is to stay 50 feet away from you at all times. He cannot speak to you, assault, or harass you physically or psychologically." The man's voice was rough and raspy, but it comforted me. I read over the many papers and signed them.

"Is this all we are doing today?" Ethan asked the police officer.

"When she's done we need to ask a few questions to help her case."

"I'm done," I handed the papers back to him.

"Did you even read them?" Ethan whispered to me.

"Kinda. It's a lot of common sense, don't worry." I smiled.

"To my understanding, Eric was abusive, right?" I gave him a blank look. Why else would I want a restraining order? Ethan understood that I was uneasy and answered for me.

"Yes, he was." Ethan was being so serious, it's a side of him so don't see often. When I see it, I enjoy it. I nodded my head to confirm Eric was abusive.

"Is this young man currently your boyfriend?"

"What! No! He's my friend, that's all! Nothing more! Friends!" I yelled out, maybe too loudly. I might have been a little dramatic about it, but I wasn't expecting him to ask that. Ethan gave me a look of 'you could have just said no.' I felt awful, I didn't mean to be so dramatic.

"Calm down please. We just needed to know. And lastly, do you have any busies or scars to prove him hurting you?" the raspy voice filled the empty air. I wasn't expecting to be asked that ethier. I shivered at the thought, but I knew I had to show them.

"Y-Yes," I stood up and looked at Ethan for support. He gave a slight nod and looked at the ground to give me some sort of privacy. I raised up my shirt to show the man a healing bruise that covered the whole left side of my rib. I saw slight movement from where Ethan was, he was trying to see as well. Can I get a girl officer for this please?

"There are a few more, would you mind asking a female officer to check them?" I put my shirt back down and sighed in relief when he left to get someone else. I looked at Ethan who was now staring at me.

"Why didn't you show me?" He was so concerned and slightly hurt.

"It was going to heal eventually. I didn't need to show you for you to believe me, there was no point."

"I guess you're right, I'm sorry." He covered his face in embarrassment.

"It's-" I was cut off when a female officer came in.

"I'm Officer Dallen," She smiled and shook my hand and then Ethan's. I played with the top of my shorts to show her a scar, but I darted my eyes to the wall and then to Ethan. He thankfully got my message and turned to face to corner.

"Here. He pushed me into the wall and I fell onto a glass vase." I pointed to show her where the glass cut into me and left scars.

"Is there anything else?" Officer Dallen smiled to reassure me.

"My pinkie. He broke it and it's crooked because I never got to properly aid it."

"I see. That's all we need, thank you for coming in. We wish the best for you Miss (Y/L/N)." She smiled and shook my hand once more and left the room. Ethan immediately turned around and hugged me.

"(Y/N)..." he breathed. I rubbed his shoulders and took a deep breath.

"It's okay, I'm okay. Let's just leave."
