I blamed her for everything I had to do to look like her
I hated her for burying her face with make up
For buying a different body
For being the girl of your dreams
Girls like me have no chance of winning
When girls like her exist
But then I realised that we're just the same
She suffered so much to get to where she is
And even now she continues to struggle
I'm done trying to be like her
I'm beautiful, she's beautiful we're all beautiful
The only way to realise that
is by loving and accepting yourself instead of envying others
I hope one day, she'll learn that
So she could stop struggling
I hope everyone does, because we all have beauty within us
And anything we do, any ounce of make up we wear
Exercise we bare, and operation we make
Should be done as a step towards ourselves not other people
So we could become who we really want to be, who we really are on the inside.
