chapter 3

Author's POV

Hinata woke up on Sunday morning and stretched. She looked at the clock beside Naruto's bed to see that it was 9 am. She got out of bed. After stretching for another 3 minutes. She walked to the living. Once she arrived there she saw Naruto still sleeping soundly. She giggled and went into the kitchen to cook breakfast.

30 minutes later

Naruto woke up to the delicious smell of pancakes, eggs, and bacon. He followed the smell to see Hinata in the kitchen fixing two plates. She looked up and smiled at him. "Good morning Naruto-kun, you better eat up. We have to start our project today." She said pouring him orange juice. "Morning Hina, thanks for the food." He said sitting down and eating. She sat down as well, enjoying the breakfast. They both finished around the same time. "Naruto-kun, get the supplies we need to start the project please." Hinata said going to the bathroom. After taking her shower and brushing her teeth she came back out. She saw Naruto had already set everything up. She sat on the floor across from him. She started gluing the letters on her poster board.

They didn't say anything to each other for about 3 hours. They were focusing on the project. Hinata decided it was time for a break. "Alright let's stop for now." She said getting up and stretching. "Great I could really go for ramen right now. Wanna come?" He asked grabbing his keys. "Sure she said slipping her shoes on and following him outside. "Wow it's such  a beautiful day out, let's walk." He said. "Alright." She replied. They began walking down the sidewalk."Hina, I'm not a bad guy right?" Naruto asked her. "Of course not, why?" She asked him. "Well Sakura-chan won't go out with me. Makes me think I'm a bad person or something." He mumbled. "Naruto Uzumaki! I refuse to sit here and listen to you talk bad about yourself. You are an amazing person, you've been there for me when no one else, not even my own father was. You are the reason I'm the person I am today. It was you who saved me from falling into darkness, after my mom died I thought my life was over. But then you came to that River and told me something. Do you remember?" She asked him

Flashback

Hinata sat at the River bank crying her eyes out. It had only been a day since her mother died. No one had even bothered to come get the 5 year old. This River was her mother's favorite spot, they both found the sound of the water relaxing, however the magic wasn't working today. Naruto had finally found her after looking for her all morning, it was now noon. "Hina!!! I'm so glad you're okay!" He exclaimed crushing her into a hug. She just continued to cry, which he finally noticed..

"Listen Hina, I know how you feel, well not exactly but I think I do. I imagine loosing a parent is like loosing a small part of your life, your identity, your everything. I also believe that our moms wouldn't want us to be sad and crying, but to be happy.. together. So Hina I know you're sad. But think of this as ending a chapter in our life. And tomorrow we can start writing a new one." He finished. Hinata had stopped crying and smiled that beautiful smile of hers. He stood up and reached his hand out to her. She gladly took it and got up as well. "Thank you Naruto-kun." She whispered as she hugged him tightly.. he hugged her back. Since she was so exhausted she passed out right in his arms. He smiled down at the sleeping girl. As he barely managed to hoist her onto his small back and walk her home....

End of flashback

"You told me to close that old chapter and start a new one, now it's time for you to do the same." She said gazing right into his piercing blue orbs. "You're right. I guess it's time I moved on from her, close that chapter. Thank you Hinata." He said hugging the much shorter girl. She giggled and hugged him back. They continued walking to Ichiraku's..

1 hour later

Naruto was stuffed as the bill came. Hinata took out her wallet to cover her half when he stopped her. "I'll pay." He said. "Are you sure? I don't want to cause you any trouble." She asked a little worried. "Nah it's fine, besides you cheered me up. And why wouldn't I wanna pay for my favorite girl." He said smirking.
