I woke up in Grayson's arms. I heard his loud snores from above me, and I winced. It was so loud that it hurt my ears a bit. Slowly, as to not wake him up, I removed myself from his arms and headed upstairs to find Ethan. It sucked that I wasn't able to enjoy the moment because of Gray's snoring; I'll just have to get used to it.
My feet softly padded up the stairs and I knocked on Ethan's door. I opened without waiting for a response, but stopped when I saw that it wasn't just him in the room. Cameron sat on Ethan's bed, next to him. They both looked up at my entrance, and seemed nervous by my appearance.
"Where's Grayson?" Cameron asked.
"He's downstairs still. He's sleeping," I told her.
She shot a look at Ethan before turning back to me. "His snoring probably woke her up."
I snorted. "A little bit."
Ethan laughed. "I understand completely. He's so noisy even when he's sleeping."
I chuckled. I motioned behind me towards the hall. "Should I leave?
"No no! It's actually perfect that Grayson's asleep. I wanted to take him somewhere to surprise him," Cameron quickly said. As she stood up, she nudged Ethan with her elbow. Then she was gone.
My eyes met Ethan's, and I smiled. I flopped down onto his bed, my boot prohibiting me from jumping onto it.
"What's up?" I asked, an easy smile on my face.
He looked down at me, and quickly looked away. He scratched the back of his head and ducked his head. The smile was wiped from my face at his actions. Was he mad? Had I done something wrong?
"Hey Rocky?" He asked, still not looking at me.
I sat up now, worry curling in my stomach. "Yeah?"
"Would you like to go to the book store with me?" He asked, finally looking at me.
His eyes were tight with nervousness. This type of behavior was weird, even for Ethan. It was a simple enough request, but why was he so stressed about it?
"Of course," I told him. "I was wanting to get some more books anyway."
He visibly relaxed, and that bright smile came back to his face. "Cool! I need suggestions on books, and you seem like the person to go to."
"Definitely! I'm a huge book worm. I just need to head home and grab some money and we can walk there," I said, rising to my feet. I stopped short, realizing the problem.
"I can't walk that much," I said. I scowled at the boot on my foot as if it were the bane of my existence.
"That's ok! You can just stand on my longboard and I'll pull you," he said.
"Are you sure? What if I break it with the added weight?" I asked.
He snorted. "It'll take a lot more than some boot to break my board. Let's go grab it and I'll walk you back home."
I smiled brightly. "Thanks Ethan."
"You're welcome. Now let's go get your stuff."
