"NO!"
Misty stops abruptly in front of the door to the dining room at the sound of Fiona yelling. "Don't you understand anything? You can't help me. You can't help anyone. You're worthless, hopeless. Get out of my sight."
With horror, Misty realises that Fiona is speaking to Cordelia. Her beautiful Delia. In less than a second, Misty sees red. It completely turns for her as she storms into the room, heading for Fiona. In her side view she sees Delia stepping surprised backwards. Just as Fiona turns to face whoever just entered the room, a slap echoes through the high-ceilinged room. Fiona's clutching her face as she looks up in surprise. The only thing visible is wild blonde hair, and a fuming face expression.
"How dare ya?! How dare ya talk to your daughter like that?! You're a monster!" Misty growls infuriated. Both women stare at her. Delia remains silent, with a shocked expression nailed on her face. Fiona's expression slowly turns from surprise to anger.
"This is none of your business. Leave us alone, little swamp bitch", comes Fiona's contained answer. She seems calm on the exterior, but there's an undertone in her voice telling Misty otherwise. But even how scary the Supreme can be at times, Misty always stands her ground.
"I care more about your daughter than anyone else in this house has ever done. She's the reason I'm not dead, and I will not allow ya to call her either 'worthless', or 'hopeless', cause she ain't it. If anyone here is, then that's you. Now, leave her alone!" Misty nearly screams in anger, unintentionally sending Fiona flying to the other side of the room. Her body crashes into the wall before tumbling down to the floorboards. She doesn't faint, but neither does she rise. Misty stares with wide eyes for a second, before turning her back to Fiona and marching out before doing something worse to the woman. Cordelia glances shocked at her mother, before following Misty.
"Damn, that girl sure loves your daughter!" Comes the voice of Marie Laveau from the middle of the room. Misty had failed to notice her in her raging anger, and Marie had ended up observing the whole scene silently.
"Thanks for stating the obvious. Help me up", groans Fiona while sitting up from the pile of dust on the floor, massaging her back. She was positively sure, after many weeks of observing the two, that they were in love. Fiona didn't exactly rejoice on the idea of the swamp witch with her daughter, but at least it was better than that bastard of a husband Cordelia had found herself.

Halfway up the stairs, the sound of clicking heels reaches Misty. She turns, half expecting an angry Fiona, but it's not. It is Cordelia in all her gorgeousness. As the headmistress reaches Misty, she pulls her in for a hug. Misty closes her eyes and shivers as she feels Cordelia's hot breath by her ear.
"No one's ever done that for me", says Cordelia softly into the swamp witch's hair. "Thank you, Misty." The hug lasts just a bit longer than platonic hugs should do, before they pull back simultaneously. Mismatched eyes meet crystal blue ones, and the air between them ignites.
"There's somethin' I need to tell you, Miss Cordelia", Misty starts slowly, glancing down at the ground.
"Oh for God's sake, call me Cordelia. I think we're close enough to drop the titles now, Misty", Cordelia chuckles and shakes her head at the girl's politeness. She then touches Misty's chin with a little smile, making her look up and meet her gaze. "Well, tell me then."
"Okay. Cordelia. I- um, I love... I love you." Silence met her like a brick wall. Misty had shut her eyes and now opened them expecting to see Cordelia angry and disgusted, but instead, the headmistress was smiling. It was the most beautiful smile Misty had ever seen and it stretched across Cordelia's entire face. Before Misty could think more, Cordelia had pulled her into a tight hug.
"I thought you'd never say it. I love you too", Cordelia whispered softly in her ear. She pulled away, but still held Misty in her arms. They were so close, Misty almost buckled over in happiness. Cordelia moved closer and the last thing Misty thought before their lips met was that she was on the brink of fainting.
