Peter lingered for a moment before knocking on Tony's door.

One knock, two, three.

Right before Peter's enclosed fist slammed against the door for a fourth time, Tony answered "Come in!"

He paced into his room and found Mr. Stark working at his desk.

"Hey kid, what's up?" Tony said, pushing his work aside. Woah! That's the first time Mr. Starks ever done that! Peter thought.

But all of a sudden, he froze. His own body, that he so badly just wanted to cooperate, betraying him. Come on, just say it, he thought to himself.

"Peter?" Tony said once he noticed how nervous Peter seemed. "You okay?"

Peter nodded, "Yeah, Mr. Stark I'm great" he squeaked out, holding up two thumbs, and beginning to walk away to forget this encounter ever happened.

"Wait, kid, what's going on?" Tony said, grabbing Peter's shoulder.

"I-um- I was wondering something..." he started, staring nervously at his feet.

"Go on, the suspense is killing me" Tony joked.

"How do you-um-ask a... uh... girl out?" Peter choked out.

Tony gave him a sympathetic look. Peter has become like a son to him these past couple of weeks, and he just wants to be a great mentor for him and give him the best advice possible.
Tony would never admit it, but he loves the kid.

"What?" Tony asked, and Peter stuttered for a moment. "Well, Mr. Stark, you see there's this girl, and she's absolutely amazing. She makes me so goddamn nervous sometimes, but I really, really like her. She's smart and nice and incredible. And-" Peter said in awe, but Tony cut him off, "Peter, she sounds amazing."

"So, uh, how would I ask a girl like that out?" Peter said, twiddling with his fingers and thumbs.

"Well, you should tell her how you feel. Not in front of a bunch of people though, and make sure the timing is right. And then just go for it. It's okay to be nervous, kid, just be yourself, and she won't be able to say no" Tony said with complete honesty.

"Thank you, Mr. Stark. Thank you so much!" Peter said, shaking Tony's hand and walking out with much more confidence than he came in with.
