**I don't own POTO**
Erik's POV
"Monsieur?" The sound of Rose's voice brought me from my thoughts.
"Would you like me to leave?" She asked again.
"Yes, leave and don't tell anyone about this, and I mean it."
"As you wish, Monsieur. But, may I ask, will we meet again?" Why was she asking this preposterous question?
"Probably not"
"Oh. Ok. Farewell!" She smiled a slightly sad smile and waved. When she reached the door she glanced back into the box with longing and disappointment in her eyes. What is she yearning for and why is she disappointed?
Rose's POV
I know I should be glad that my life was spared, but I was a little sad when I was told to leave. The quiet of the Box was nice, it reminds me of home, and the family I used to have. My eyes started to fill with tears at the thought of my family. How I missed them so. I wiped my eyes with the back of my hand and started towards the stage to begin practice.
Christine's POV
Meg and I had gone to the stage early to stretch before practice. Even though I'm to be the pageboy, it's still good to stretch. I looked up when I heard feet padding on the stage floor. "Rose! How was your walk?"
"Fine, I guess..."
"Are you okay?" Meg chimed in.
"Yeah.. why?"
"You just seem upset. Is anything bothering you?"
"Nope. Perfectly normal."A flash of guilt spread across her face, but vanished as quickly as it came.
"Okay." I just dropped it at that. If she wanted to tell me, she would.
*after practice*
Rehearsal went as normal as it could have been. Carlotta screeched the entire time and sent me daggers every time she could! I wish I could have smacked that smug look on her face every time the managers praised her for her so-called singing. I hurried back to my dressing room and waited for my Angel.
"Hello my little Angel of Music! Are you ready to begin today's lesson?" His voice sounds so unearthly yet beautiful at the same time!
"Yes, Angel. I'm ready." The mirror slid back and I entered the passageway.
Erik's POV
When Christine took my hand, it was as if someone had set off fireworks. I looked back at my precious angel. Oh what a beauty she is! And her voice! It's so divine, it's as if God's hand had touched her vocal cords and blessed her with a voice like the sweetest honey, flowing over my entire being and drowning me in its sweet goodness. Maybe Christine can be my savior, for I am a demon. It's as if Satan had touched my face the moment I was born and cursed me forever. Can this Angel, my sweet Angel of Music, save me, a demon, from the fiery depths of this Hell that I live in? Is there actually a possibility that she can see the good in me? 'No. She saw your face and cringed from the sight! Your horrid face made her weep! And getting angry at her most likely pushed her away as well!' My mind yelled at me. It's true though, I probably pushed her away, but I'm surprised that she still wants lessons from me. I glance behind me again to see Christine looking at me with her big doe eyes, those beautiful eyes. I turned away before I could get lost in them. When we got to my lair, we continued with our lesson and after I returned her to her dressing room. Instead of going back to my lair, I decided to go to the roof to clear my head. I stopped in my tracks when I heard sobbing. Rose was sitting on the floor with her head in her hands, I wish I could wrap her up in my arms and comfort her- No! What am I thinking!? I love Christine! And some sobbing girl won't get in my way. As I turned to leave, I heard Rose whisper. "I miss you! There is not a day that I don't think about you. I wish you were still here!" She grabbed her cloak and headed to the roof. Well that's just great. I huffed and went to the roof regardless, I still need to clear my head.
