Marjorie shifted her gaze out of her bedroom window.

The multi-colored sky hit the glass.

And then the sunshine was so intense that she was forced to look away. She walked out of her bedroom door.

"Marjorie, are you alright?".

"Yes, Mom! I had to get out of the sunlight; I had to get out now". She wore a blue dress, black  stockings, and black  boots.

"You're going to the Rodeo in that dress".

"Yes".

"Fine, at least cover the bottom up".

Marjorie did as she was asked.

"There...it's decent".

"Good, now there's no problem".

"I'm sure it is, Mom".

And she hugged her.

Marjorie noticed her Father.

"How is my favorite daughter doing?", he asked.

"She is fine; she is very fine".

"I love that you're happy Marjorie".

"I am". She then saw Rod's truck drive towards the front door. She walked faster than was necessary, as she greeted her neighbor.

"Howdy, I am looking for a woman...", Rod smiled.

"Oh, who?".

"You".

"No! I thought you'd not be interested in a woman who you'd just met yesterday".

"There's no one I want to be with...except a beautiful Texas woman like you". He smiled as well. He opened the passenger-side door...and let her inside.

The door closed.

And he walked to the driver-side door, opened it, then got in.

Then, once he closed it, they both put their black seatbelts on.

"Got your purse?".

"Yes! And I-phone".

"Good! Now, let's go!".

And he drove away to Galveston where the Rodeo was held.
