GIGI'S POV
I put my earbuds into the headphones jack and waited for Mikey.

A second later he called.

I answered his call.

"Hola chica!" He said excitedly.

"Hola amigo!" I smiled.

"It feels so long since we did this!" He said.

"I know right! But I'm so happy we started talking again!" I said.

I couldn't stop smiling.

It's like when you see your best friend after not seeing them for months.

"How are you things with you?" He asked.

"Same old same old." I said.

"You moved right? That doesn't look like the same wall I'm used to seeing." He said.

I laughed.

"Yeah. Still in New York, obviously but new town new school." I said.

"How'd that go for you?" He asked.

"Had its ups and downs. Like always. Cut out toxic people, got all the lead roles in musicals, got my license, toured colleges, applied, went to formal. Basic freshmen, sophomore, and junior things." I explained.

He nodded.

"I don't mean to sound like a creeper but I was looking at your Instagram, who's Jaclyn?" He asked.

My heart stopped.

My smile disappeared.

"Oh she was a senior my freshmen year. She was nice, so beautiful, protected me, and gave me makeup tips. She's like a big sister to me. She's no longer with us." I said.

My voice was shaking.

"Gi, I'm so sorry. We don't have to talk about it." He said.

"No, it's fine. It always hurts a little to bring it up." I said smiling weakly.

"As long as you're okay. That's all that matters." He said.

I smiled.

"I just want to hug you through the screen." He said.

"Same! A week more." I said.

"The slowest week ever." He said dramatically.

I laughed.

"How's the show/rehearsals going?" I asked.

"Pretty good. You're going to be in California when my group performs so we can watch it together." He said.

"Yay. Then you go live." I said.

"Yes. The last recorded episode." He said.

"Can't wait!" I said.

"You said you're Puerto Rican Dominican?" He asked.

"Yup." I said.

"You kinda look like you'd be related to Drew." He said.

I laughed.

"Yes, my Puerto Rican definitely outweighs my Dominican as far as looks go." I said.

"I have to go. My mom needs me. But, smile for a screenshot?" He asked.

I laughed.

"Of course." I said.

I took one too.

"See you in a week. Love you." He said.

"Love you too." I said as I hung up.

I posted the picture on my Instagram.
