The next day, the morning sun wakes me up. Birds chirping outside the window of my room.

I crawl out of bed and get dressed, wearing a long black dress with the Uchiha crest resting on the back. My hair blocks my view, I pull it back in, rather messy ponytail. The best that I could do myself.

Eating breakfast everyone chatted about school, how there will be a large exam at the end of the school year.  "Mika~ I'm really nervous..." Obito whispers to me as I sit next to him. "You'll do just fine." I tells him as I stand up, done with the sweet flavoured breakfast that granny made for us.

"Mika! Come here!" Granny insists as I walking to the mudroom. In her wrinkly, ancient hands were a brush and a few hair ties in hand. I stand in front of her, still as possibly. Her fingers yanks the original ponytail. She gently brushes my hair, getting rid of all the knots in my hair. Next she moves all the hair on top of my head, a simple bun with a slight twist. "Thank you!~" I cheer as Obito and I head off to school.

Walking to the Shinobi Academy Obito kept on glancing behind us, cautious. "What are you looking for?" I ask him. "Um..." His face begins to blush. "Rin?" I ask with a mocking tone. "N-NO!" He shouts as he crosses his arms, pouting. "You know. I won't tell anyone." I comment as I pick up the pace, not wanting to be late.

As we arrive to school a majority of the students sit outside under the trees. All chatting and laughing with among each other. I spot Rin sitting next to that white haired moron, Kakashi. "OBITO!" She shouts his name, hand waving with a large toothy grin on her face. "Rin...." He mumbles her name. I give him a slight shove and give him a heart warming smile. He nods and races over to her.

I walk over and sit in the cool grass. Cold eyes watch me, "Why sit here?" Kakashi snaps at me. "Because I can..." I sigh as I pull my bag in front of me and pull out a thin book. A hand snatches the book from my grasp, "Good choice of read." Guy says as he know sits across from me. He examines the cover. It was tattered with mud stains. "I got it from a while ago." I explain to him. "It seems fairly old." He responds. "Yep." Sighs Kakashi as she rips it from his hands. He filps it open and starts from the first page. His eyes now filled with something, no longer lifeless.

"Alright students! Line up!" Booms Goya~Sensei, her usual folders in hand. We all do as what she told us. Kakashi still holds my book, I glare at him. He looks up at me with a smug look in his eyes. "We will be going to Hokage Rock." She announces. The head of the past Hokages who watch over us, that's what grampa always told Obito and I. "Lets get going!" She shouts as we gather our bags.

As we arrive to Hokage Rock some strange Shinobi stand around the entrance, wearing white masks of various animals with black uniforms. Their auras dark.

"Mika.... Pay attention." Rin whispers to me, her voice stern. I was too busy watching the weird adults. We were already assigned in groups. "Mika. You are with Guy, Kurenai, and Asuma." She instructs. We all then group up together. I feel nervous, considering I have not really spoken to any of them before. Expect for Guy, he always found a way to make people laugh. Sometimes doing it on accident.

"Asuma what are we suppose to do?" Kurenai asks him. "Listen." He responds as his focus goes to Goya~Sensei. She continues how we are suppose to find certain plants and type of small rocks with insects. It's always a good thing to know your surroundings.

Guy hands us all a slip of paper with three items on it.

Lemon grass

Mint

Sage

Were the herbs that I was suppose to find with Guy. Asuma and Kurenai were grouped as together. "This shouldn't be so hard." Comments Guy, he then starts wandering off the path, into the low shrubs. "Wait!" I shout his name after him. He looks back up at me, eyes bright.

"Sorry.... Sorry." He responds, he allows me to catch up with him. "Here let me see the list." He says as he take the paper from my hand. He tilts his head and twirls his finger, pointing further down the small slope. Little colourful flowers trailed to the mounds of dirt below.

"I think the mint might be down there." I mention.  Many small, smelly leaves tainted the dirt. "Yeah.... It's a really strong smell." He comments. "It smells like mint." I state as I slide down, grabbing a handful. The mint slightly fold in my palm as I grip it in a fist, "C'mon!" Guy calls down to me. I nod and follow his back up.

Next on the list is lemon grass and sage. Which one next? Guy says we should do sage. So we will.

"Where do we find sage at?" Guy asks as he taps his chin with the now rolled up paper in hand. "It's found in many different places or temperature." I answer, sighing. "Right, right. Lets go up closer to Hokage ROCK!" His voice booming and some poor birds flying up from the trees.

Running to catch we up, we make it to the chosen destination. Up there was sadly, Kakashi with cheery smiling Rin and blushing Obito with them.

Obito rushes across looking for their herbs while Rin read it off. Kakashi lazily sits up in a tree. I roll my eyes at him and turn to Rin to help, he crosses his arms.

"Rin what do you need help with? I ask her. She looks up and smiles, "Obito needs some help." She responds. "Okay...", I run to Obito, "What are you looking for?" I ask Obito.

"GAH! MIKA! Don't scare me like that." He mumbles as he rubs dirt off his sleeve. "Anyway.... I'm looking for Catnip but instead I found lemon grass. This gross lengthy stuff." He complains as he waves it around. "I actually need that. Thank you!" I the grass from his hand and walk  up to Guy, who was yelling up at Kakashi.

"Leave me alone...." His voice dull. "WHY SHOULD I?!" Guy shouts back up. "Guy I have the lemon grass from Obito." I confirm. They silence, "Give me." Kakashi orders as he lands in front of me, snatching them from my hand.

Out of rage I find myself punching in his general direction. Feeling his flesh under my impact, I fill with satisfaction. His body lunges back, him still on his feet. The lemon grass drop to the ground and I pick them up. "Stop acting bratty." I snap at him. "Why don't you stop!" He retorts as he walks away. "UGH! You're such a headache Kakashi!" I sigh as I decide to get back to the small quest.

"Mika! I've found the sage!" Cheers Guy as he sprints over, the sage in hand. The small circular leafs flopped his hand. "Alright. Lets go find the rest." I suggest. He nods and we race off to find Asuma and Kurenai.

We find them longing under a fairly small tree, "We found everything!" Guy shouts at them. "Good. Lets return them to Goya~Sensei." Instructs Kurenai.

So we do.
