6: Short Story

Konan and I were sitting underneath a tree, it was evening now so the sun was fading off in the distance into the darkening sky. "Mika lets go back." Says Konan as she lightly shoves me. I stand up, "Fine...."

As we got back it was silent. "Where are the others?" I ask in a small voice. "Hehehe." I heard some laughing. "Found you!" Shouts Konan as she yanks Yahiko from out behind a bush. Behind me Sensei was standing behind me. "Boo!" He shouts, trying to scare me. "What?" I ask him. "That didn't scare you?" Sensei asks me with a disappointed look on his face. "That use to scare Nagato." Laughs Yahiko. "No it didn't!" Shouts Nagato, then he tackles Yahiko. And as always Konan tries to break them apart. "Stop it you two!" Scowls Sensei as he breaks up the fight.

I open my eyes. It was all a dream, those days are gone. Gone for good. I feel tears rise up and spill down my cheeks.

That morning at Ninja Academy I remained silent. "What's wrong?" Rin asks me with a worried look on her soft face. I turn away and pull my scarf over my nose and walk away.
Run.... I could hear my Ma's voice as she said that to me, that very night....
