I'll Protect You... With All My Life

Maggie POV :

I saw Emily fall on the floor. I gasped in shock knelled down in front of Emily's still breathing body with Isabella, she was sobbing cursing at Emily why did she do it , I didn't even know what happened I just looked at Alex knowing that she would at least try and convince Emily to make her risk her life for me . I just snapped at that moment.

" What did you DO!" I yelled at her, tears streaming down my face, Lena held me back, knowing that I just might have to beat Alex ass for doing this to Emily.

" I didn't know she was going to really do it! I thought you were still inside." She said shocked at my response.

" Bullshit!, I was taken and she had to risk her life while you were just standing there! " I screamed while I was sobbing, Lena was rubbing my back trying to make me sane again while Hank was carrying Emily's body to the DEO.

Alex looked as if she was about to cry. Kara was already holding back tears, trying not to be a broken mess . But Alex, oh no . She has no right to cry. Kara turned to look at Alex, tears streaming down her face.

"If my daughter doesn't make it, I'm not sure we'll be sisters or anything, anymore." Kara said with a tear rolling down her cheek as she sprang up in the sky.

I grabbed Isabella and whispered that it was going to be ok, truth was I didn't know and it was all my fault.

I gave Isabella a ride and we drove to the DEO, I didn't want to speak to Alex. At least not now.

< Alex POV>

I looked at myself, what have I done. I risked someone else's life to save the one person that I love and I used Kara's daughter when she was at her weakest. I felt so bad. Lena looked at me she was angry. But she pulled me in a hug.

" I'm pissed, but not at you. You did nothing wrong ok? Now look at me, you didn't do anything wrong ok? Nothing" She said. I started sobbing again. She pulled me into an embrace

"They hate me " I croaked out.

" No they don't, their just scared. I'll talk to them but we need to see Emily. " she said, I shook my head, how could she forgive me for the act that I've committed, just for my sake. I didn't even think about Emily.

" She won't hate you, ok? " Lena said, concern laced in her voice. I heard a phone ring. Lena picked it up , after a couple of minutes it ended.

" It's Emily, we have to go " she said pulling me into an SUV as we drove to the DEO.

< Kara POV>

I hated Alex, I thought. I didn't even know what to think. She put my daughters life in danger and it was all that mystery persons fault.

I went to the DEO first and I saw Emily's body. I gasped in horror. She had bruises all over her caramel body and burns on her arms from the fire, I saw a cut in her forehead and blood on her face.

I looked at Hank with tears in my eyes.

"Is she dead " I asked silently so only he could hear.

" No just unconscious, it's been a couple of hours, you can wait with her until she wakes up if you want." He said with a sad look on his face.

" I will" I said to him looking at Emily he nodded in response. I sat down waiting for Emily when Maggie and Isabella had came in. The looked so broken. I gave them both a hug.

"It's gonna be ok" I said to the both of them, tearing up again and sobbing on Maggie's shoulder while rubbing my back.

" How is she? " Maggie asked.

"She looked horrible!" I bawled, Isabella started rubbing my back trying to calm me down.After a couple minutes I started to calm down,laying on Maggie's lap.

Hank came it and saw all three of us.

" She's ok" he said with a smile.

"WHAT!" We all said at the same time. I started first.

" But the bruises, the burns, the cut. Are the still there "

He nodded sadly.

"They will go away but she will have a scar on her back" he said carefully to Maggie so she won't snap. Maggie took a deep breath and nodded. Taking in all of the information at a time.

"Is it ok if I go first " Maggie asked We both nodded. I had gotten my phone and called Lena.

" Go to the DEO, it's Emily. She's ok."
I ended the phone call. I hugged Isabella.

" I told you it was going to be ok" I mumbled into her shoulder smiling.

< Lena POV >

We drove to the DEO in silence, I hated it, with Kara we would be having a conversation and maybe something else in the back seat.

But it was different than that, by the time we got to the DEO. The rest of them were talking to Emily except Isabella. She sat down hands in her face.

"Talk to her" I said putting a hand on her shoulder

Alex walked in as Emily was playing on the computer. I walked back to Isabella sitting next to her.

"Your her teacher, right?" I asked her softly. I pulled her in for a hug.

" Hurt my kid, and be sure to send you straight to hell." I whispered to her.

She nodded. I smiled.

" Good"

<Isabella POV>

I look at Emily. I should have just stayed with her instead of leave.  I just put her life in danger and now I can't deal with myself if she dies.

She had opened her eyes, tears were streaming down her face as I was looking, I knew that she wanted to go home.

I went down to her burns and kissed them softy. I kissed the burns on her arms and her neck. I stroked her long brown hair and bent down on her level.

" I'll protect you....with all my life."

That's when I heard the beep.
