"To be old and wise you first must be young and stupid."

Peter slumped against the wall, holding his bleeding shoulder. All around him were cacooned and... unresponsive evil Avengers. Great. At least it was over.

Or... not.

Peter gaped as he saw, suspended in a pink cloud, three more Avengers. Scarlet Witch, Ant-Man, and, worst of all, Captain America.

"Aw come on!" Peter couldn't help but cry as he jumped to his feet again, quickly webbing his shoulder. "What, is it spidey free-for-all night?" He yelped as Scarlet Witch threw a giant chunk of freshly-ripped-from-the-building cement at him. Thankfully, all these guys were against him in their last battle, so his sense kicked in. Not that it was much help with the constant triple attacks. It was mostly luck that he wasn't shish-kebabed yet.

"What the..." He suddenly heard Falcon mutter and he groaned. "You too? Four against one doesn't seem fair!" Spidey whined, trying to web the tiny Ant-Man. "What? What are you doing here? Where is here? What is going on and why are the good guys fighting each other... oh wait, that already happened."

"So, you seriously don't know what's going on?" Peter grunted as he ducked under Cap's shield. "No, but I'd come to help if there wasn't webbing clogging my wings!"

"Sorry, but a minute ago you were trying to kill me to! Apparently its three for one Spider night!"

"Why don't I remember..."

"Look, I'd love to keep chatting but..." Peter was cut off by his own excuse; Cap's shield smacking him directly in the chest. He smashed to the ground. "But... that." He wheezed, struggling up. "Hang on Spiderman, I'm coming!" Falcon yelled, running to the stairwell. "Can't believe I have to take the stairs..." He muttered as he ran.

"Thanks!" Peter managed before the wind was knocked out of him by Scarlet Witch's blast hitting him into an A/C unit. He finally, by total fluke, managed to web Ant-Man, so that was a good thing.

Rolling away from another blast he webbed Wanda's wrists together and then cacooned her to the wall. He let out a sigh of relief just before his sense blared and Cap's sheild slammed into his back.

Just as he rolled on the ground, he saw War Machine suddenly sputter to life. Please be on my side... He couldn't help but think as rage-Cap lunged at him and punched him into next tuesday (or, the roof, but it felt like time itself enclosed around Peter's back.)

"What the...!" So his side, good to know. However, he was webbed up. Peter had screwed himself, because he was just that dumb. "Sorry, no time to explain, all the Avengers have gone crazy and are trying to kill me for some reason including you which is why you're webbed up and you might not remember anything but I don't know about that you'll have to ask Falcon he'll be here any minute!" Peter rambled anxiously, finally stopping when Cap pinned him with his shield. OK, that hurts a lot. Peter bit back a scream at the pressure on his chest.

Finally, Falcon burst out of the stairwell. Typically, he ran to help Rhodey first. "Thanks!" Peter coughed, still struggling under glowing-blue-eyed Cap's grip. "Hang on, I'll be right..."

Falcon was cut off when Cap put pressure on Peter's shoulder wound and he screamed in agony. "Spades!" Falcon cursed, changing direction abruptly. Peter felt his ribs starting to crack as Cap's evil grin spread. He howled in pain and squeezed his eyes shut against the sudden tears that threatened to stream down his face.

"Cap, stop!" Falcon yelled, yanking at Cap's shoulders but not budging the enhanced soldier. "Can't... breathe... help!" Peter wheezed, the pain next to unbearable. "What the hell is going on?" A revived Clint asked in horror as he tried to saw himself out using his arrow head.

"Help!" Falcon cried, and Clint launched to his feet quickly after struggling to get free and ran to Peter. "Cap? Cap, snap out of it!!!" Clint cried, pulling with all his might. "Please... stop...!" Peter begged, rasping for breath.

"He's killing him!" Rhodey screamed, the webs tarnished enough for him to finally rip free. "Sorry Cap, but it has to be done." Rhodey placed a beam in the middle of Cap's chest and fired, finally knocking the soldier off the spider.

The weight finally lifted off his chest, Peter gasped in a breath finding that only brought more pain as he rolled onto his side, pulled his mask half up and coughed out blood, Clint holding him up. Falcon ran and cut Natasha, who was just waking up, Wanda and Scott free.

"What happened?" Nat asked in terror as she saw the boy with his mask pulled up to reveal his mouth as he spat out blood. "Cap nearly killed Spiderman, is what happened!" Scott explained hysterically. "And none of us remember how we even got here. Apparently we were all trying to kill web-head." He continued. "All of us?" Clint gaped. "And... he beat us?" He looked at the slowly recovering hero in awe.

"Get his mask off." Rhodey, who flipped up his own mask, insisted as he saw Spiderman laboring to breathe. When Clint reached to do so, Peter held up a hand. "I'm... fine..." he rasped painfully, coughing and wincing at the pain jarring through him. The team shared a look of surprise.

"We better take him to the hospital." Nat observed, but again Spidey protested. "You... can't." He insisted. "Uh, yeah we can. And we will." Falcon growled, but Spiderman just shook his head. "No, I mean... you... literally can't. My... DNA... isn't normal. But don't worry... I heal... fast." He wheezed, and the team shared looks.

"You sure?" Clint asked, amazed as Spidey already attempted to sit up. "Yeah. Oh spades, my Aunt is going to kill me." Another shockwave went through the group. Tony had said he was young, they just still had no idea how young.

"So... what happened?" Wanda spoke up, and everyone jumped. Everyone was now conscious except Cap.

"Well, I was sitting on the rooftop over there," Spidey gestured weakly, "when I got a call from Tony Stark. He was talking weird, asking my location, so I gave it. I mean, it was Tony Stark! Well literally a second after the line went dead he called again and this time his voice was all static and broken up and I couldn't hear anything he said. And then this guy," Spiderman nodded at Falcon who raised his eyebrows, "shows up and starts trying to fight me. Followed by the rest of you. I managed to imobilize you without any complications, until when I was webbing Black Widow she shot me in the shoulder." Nat looked down guiltily, but only for a second. "And then I thought it was over, who cares about a bullet wound, but Cap, Scarlet Witch and Ant-Man suddenly showed up!"

"And... you managed to beat us to." Scott balked, and they shared looks. "Yeah, except Cap caught me off guard and pinned me and..." Spidey shuddered, holding his batterd sternum. He could feel the painful movements as his cracked ribs tried to correct themselves, and the adrenaline was wearing off increasing said pain.

"So... I can't go to a hospital because of my DNA and, you know, secret identity. But do think... I might need... some help..."

And with that, Peter fell unconscious, caught by the attentive Avengers.
