"MICHAEL!"Michael immediately dropped what he was holding at Lucifer's panicked voice and ran into their bedroom.
He paused in the doorway, confused. His fiancé sounded as though he was in trouble, but here he was, sitting calmly on the floor.
He was surrounded by pamphlets and had a laptop balanced on his lap, which he promptly shoved to one side when he noticed Michael.
"Ah, there you are. We need to have a serious conversation."
"A.... Serious conversation? I thought you were dying!"
Lucifer frowned. "Dying? What even? Never mind, I don't care. Sit down. We need to talk."
Michael opened his mouth to protest, then decided it wasn't worth it.
He sat opposite Lucifer, crossing his legs and sighing. "What's up?"
"Three weeks, Michael." Lucifer waved his arms around, worry flashing across his face.
"We don't have enough time! We don't have suits yet, what food should we serve? Who will be our best men?!?"
With every question Lucifer's panic grew, his voice becoming louder as the stress shone through.
"Hey, it's okay." Michael soothed, reaching over and taking his hands. "Everything's under control. Our suits are being fitted this afternoon, remember?"
Lucifer relaxed slightly, he had forgotten that they had made that appointment. Michael kept going.
"Gabriel and Sam are taking care of the decorations, Castiel and Dean said they'd organise the food and drinks. Look, Luci, it's not too late cancel. We don't have to do this if you don't want to."
Lucifer let out a breath and smiled. "Oh you're not getting away from me that easily. I really do want us to get married. I'm just..... Nervous I guess."
He played with the simple engagement ring on Michael's finger, his smile growing.
"How about Sam and Dean as our best men? I mean, obviously Cas and Gabe have to be flower girls."
Michael laughed, glad he was being himself again. "Sure, which one do you want?"
Lucifer thought for a moment, then shrugged and pulled a hat out of nowhere along with two bits of paper.
"Red's Sam, green's Dean."
Michael chuckled again, reaching into the hat and pulling out the green piece of paper.
"Gosh damn," Lucifer exclaimed. "I'm going to look so short next to the moose."
Michael raised an eyebrow. "Hey, at least you got him - imagine what I'd look like next to him."
Lucifer snorted. "Yeah, you're even shorter than Dean."
"Thanks babe," Michael said, getting up. "I'm going to go get ready for the fitting."
With that he stalked out of the room, leaving Lucifer laughing on the floor.
.................
"What the frick frack? Do I have to wear this one? It's so tight, I can't breathe properly!"
The lady helping them with their clothes for the big day offered Castiel a sympathetic smile.
"Sorry honey, they're all like that. It's the way they are designed."
"I think you look gorgeous," Dean soothed and Cas glared at him.
"Of course you do, that's your job! Does that make it any more comfortable? Hm? Exactly!"
He took a few steps forward before tripping over, the unfamiliar feeling of the blue dress billowing around his bare legs distracting him.
"I feel so naked!" He complained to Lucifer, who simply cackled.
"Don't worry Cassie, I have the solution." Gabriel stated, gracefully crossing the room in his matching dress.
"What is it?" Cas demanded and Gabe smile secretively.
"Booty shorts," he revealed happily. "That way if your dress flys up you'll have more than just your underwear, but they don't show, they're perfect!"
Cas stared at him hard, trying to figure out if he was joking.
".... Do you have a spare pair?"
Their exchange was interrupted by the door to the change room opening and Michael walking out in a perfectly tailored black suit.
"What?" He asked suspiciously at the silence, which Lucifer broke with a wolf whistle. "Hot damn!" He exclaimed and Michael blushed.
"Not too bad yourself love," he muttered back, admiring Luci's white suit.
The different colours complemented each other perfectly and the fitting lady gushed over them while Cas pretended to gag.
"So when's the wedding?" The lady asked and Michael gazed lovingly at Lucifer. "Three weeks."
She gushed some more as she helped Sam and Dean with their suits
Michael and Lucifer ignored her, choosing to whisper about the wedding and honeymoon instead.
.............
"Michael? You still awake?"
"Yeah, you can't sleep either?"
Lucifer turned to face Michael, who mirrored his position.
"I can't believe we're getting married tomorrow," Lucifer sighed, grabbing Michael's hand and holding it tightly.
"I know." Michael smiled. "It's going to be perfect."
"It better be. Otherwise I'm divorcing you and disowning everyone who 'helped'."
"Then you'd be alone," Michael reminded him gently and Lucifer shook his head.
"Nah, I'll get a dog. And a couple of dozen cats. I'll be the crazy cat lady."
"I can't believe you're talking about divorcing me on the eve of our wedding," Michael complained, turning so that his back was to his fiancé.
Lucifer cuddled up to him. "Forgive me?" He asked innocently.
"I hate you," Michael replied as he wrapped his arms around his fiancé.
"I hate you more," Lucifer cooed, kissing his cheek before wriggling into a more comfortable position and closing his eyes.
