The only think worse then getting lost in the woods in the dark, is getting lost in the woods while it's dark and it's raining.

Luckily I had a flashlight on my pen. It's wasn't great but it was better then nothing. What wasn't lucky was I was lost. I couldn't even find my way back and I was going in circles and I couldn't even find Weirdos, which was the reason I'm here in the first place!

Suddenly I heard a faint bark. I ran with whatever energy I had left towards the noise, which grew louder and louder until it revealed, Weirdos.

I was so happy until I saw what was on his mouth...blood. And at his feet was what looked like a rat or some other furry creature. My stomach twisted with disgust, this is what he had run after. A small creature? Did we not feed him enough? But there was no time for me to scold. Now that I found Weirdos I really wanted to leave this woods and go back to my family, who were probably looking for us now...or were they?

What was I saying, of course they would look for me. I mean sure Crystal had her mood swings and Austin called me cruel nicknames but they did love me....I hope. Oh joy, being in the.woods was giving me a cold and messing with my brain. I needed to find a shelter.

I grabbed Weirdos and carried him as I walked swithing off my small flash as i didnt want to damage it. There was no way I would risk losing him again. Suddenly I heard a loud rustling noise behind us. Slowly and scared, I turned around and just a few feet away from us was a shadowy figure; big and tall and frightening.

Not even trying to see what it was, I ran while Weirdos barked at it in my arms. I didnt even turn to see if it was running after us. I ran for what felt like a long time, before I ran into something wooden and hard. "Ouch!" I shouted rubbing my head as Weirdos fell from my hands, "Who put this wall here?" When I looked up I saw it was some kind of wall. But I felt as if I was hallucinating as it was dark and raining but through the occasional thunder I could make it out that I wasn't imaging it and it really was one.
I reached with my hand to touch it. It felt like my dad's cabin back at home where he would do wood work. Weirdos stood next to me scratching himself. To.stay on the safe side I picked him up and walked while touching the wall to find an entrance. Did someone live here? Who lives out in the middle of nowhere?  Crazy people, that's who, and if they weren't crazy when they moved here, they definitely were now. Still, it was better then dying out in the cold and miserable rain. And there might not be anyone living here anyway.

Finally I found a door, my heart pounded in my chest, afraid of what I might find, but my brain had other ideas so my hand knocked. Nothing, only the sound of pouring rain. Again I knocked, I couldn't really hear anything over the rain. Maybe there was no one here. My heart pounded now with hope, but just as I was about to open the door, it swang open.

The fact that my heart had beating so fast previously,  made it to hard to try and beat faster so I did the next best thing. I fainted in a strangers/possible crazy person's home.
