Let me introduce myself. My name is Noel Strad. I've always known my place in the environment. The one who is looked over. I am the irrelevance. It's a wonder from the gods themselves that Luke was even able to see past the fact that I wasn't even important at all.

But like they say; Storms come, you either swim or you drown. And like I say; I can't swim.

I don't really know why I never could learn to swim, maybe it was some type of shock that my body couldn't handle. Everyone attempted to teach me, but I never learned. But I think I finally did without the help of my father's arms. Someone cold taught me. Lucas. I know, I know, I make him seem like some type of demon out to destroy, but in all honesty, that's what he felt like. He left so quickly. Maybe you should know the story. Just one thing; prepare yourself.

"Luke ?" I called into the dark room. "Babe ?" I asked and still got no answer. I crawled out of the warm duvet sliding a tee shirt over my head and flicked on the light switch. I looked over to the wardrobe dresser and saw a note.

hey there babygirl. it's kinda early and i'm sorry but i had to run out and grab a few things. but i'll make up for it later ;))

laters baby.

"That cheeky bastard." I said outloud. I still smiled at the note from my boyfriend. Using a quote from my favourite film, it can't get any better. I leave the warm confines of his bedroom and stroll into the kitchen. Another note stuck to the refrigerator.

baby, i knew you'd be hungry when you woke up and i knew you would beg me for pancakes and i knew i'd say no and I knew you'd make me cave. so, get the keys and go to robbie's and get your blueberry pancakes, sausage links, fruit salad and black coffee, it's all paid for. told ya i'd make it up to you. ♡

I pull up at Robbie's American Diner in Luke's car. I tug my zipper up a little more to cover my sport bra, grab my handbag and remove the keys from the ignition. I am greeted by a waitress holding a note.

"Miss Strad is it ?" I nod my head 'yes' to the petite woman with the American. accent. "This is for you and your breakfast will be right out."

"Thank you." I reply and plop down into a padded booth. My food arrives and I slurp it down quickly.

hey babe, i miss you already. but i think you're doing just fine, because you're the girl i fell in love with. when you're done eating, head to the book store, you know the one where i bought you that original signed copy of fifty shades. bookstore of seventy one. i love you baby.

luke.

I gawked at the note. He'd gotten me a signed copies of the book.

"Miss?" The waiter stood there impatiently.

"Yes?" I asked.

"Refill?" He asked back and I just noticed that I had already drank all of my coffee.

"Erm, no thank you. I have to go."

Arriving at the store, I notice the large sign displaying the words; Come in, we're Open. Beside of the sign, stuck to the window is a piece of notebook paper folded into a squared shape, taped up.

I skip into the bookstore to find an elderly man at the counter holding the book designated to be given to me.

"Hello," he greets, "Mr. Hemmings mentioned you were quite beautiful, but you are even more than imagined. For you," he says placing the book on the counter in front of me, "Now you get that note," he points to the window, "And have a lovely day, miss."
