Chapter One

I watched as the evergreen trees flashed pass the window. The forest was dense, with the sun shining atop the trees, casting a green halo around them, however no light reached the bottom of the forest floor. Leaving the floor in haunting darkness. My head bobbling along with the Breaking Benjamin song blazing through the headphones of my Ipod. I sighed and turned back to my sketch on my lap.

A few minutes later, the car stopped in front of the new house.  I looked up and suppressed the sigh that was building.  The old two story house stood alone and the dark wood of the house stood out beautifully against the vibrant green of the forest. I cast a weary look at the forest before  I picked up my sketch book and Ipod and got out of the car.  Slamming the door behind me, I ignored my dad giving me the stink eye.  Look all you want, old man. I opened the front door, sending a loud creaking noise into my ears and stepped into the old house.

The halls were dark, the lights overhead was broken and some twigs lined the hallway floor, I could see that this house hasn't seen people in a long time.  The house definately needed to be rid of the dust on the floors and the lightbulbs needed replacing. Just fucking perfect, as if moving into the middle of some spooky forest isn't fantastic enough.  I sighed as I decided to explore.  I walked up the steps to afraid to touch the rickerty frail railing,  fearing that it would brake within my grasp.

Upstairs were two bathrooms and a master bedroom.  I walked to the end of the hall and found another bedroom almost completely hidding in the darkness of the dank halls.  I walked in and looked around the room.  There was a small walk in closet and at one side of the room the ceiling was low. That will be perfect as a art studio. I noticed a big window that reached the floor all the way up to the ceiling in the same corner,  looking out of the window,  I gaped open mouthed at the view.

There was a clearing at the back of the house surrounded by huge trees.  At the end of the clearing, a small lake began and I knew that that was were I would spend most my time. The view was also perfect for a painting.

"Sinna!" my mom screamed at me from downstairs,  I sighed and stopped my music and put my Ipod and sketch book on the floor. This is going to be a long day.

I walked out of the room and warily went down the stairs.  I stepped outside to see the moving van pull up next to our jeep.  I waited for the man to climb out and told him where he has to put my furniture. I turned around and went to the jeep to grab my boxes.

I huffed out a shaky breath when all my stuff was in place and unpacked.  Finally.  I went over to  my mattress and pulled the heavy thing to my bed.  My mother came in and gave me a look.  She was in her late forties and she was long.  I got my length from her.  She was a plump woman and had blue eyes and short boyish blond hair.  I ignored her gaze and struggled on with the mattress. I heard her sigh and leave the room. Guess she's not pleased with my decorating skills. Finally I get the damn mattress on the bed and go over to one of the boxes and get out my bedding. I make up my bed and start to pack out my art stuff on the table in front of the huge window.

I stand back and look at the table filled with pens,  pencils, paper, canvases, paint and paintbrushes. I turn around and start to reconnect all the wires of the computer and place my wacom tablet on the table.  I go to the box marked SINNA'S CLOTHES and start unpacking the few items of clothing in the small walk in closet.

When I was completely done unpacking, I look around the room. Paintings, drawings and anime posters linned the bedroom walls. My shoes where thrown into a corner next to my closet and empty boxes was stacked next to the old oak bedroom door, I turned my bakc towards the large window and spotted a huge blank wall. It was only midday, so I grabbed my pencil and started drawing the huge clearing and lake with a summer sunset in the back on the wall.
