i felt a breath against my neck. i knew it was minhyuk.

wait-

i'm still virgin, right?!

i widened my eyes, panicked. i looked down to see my clothes still intact. phew.

i scanned the room.

"you're awake...?" a husky voice asked.

i stiffened.

"y-yes.."

"i'll get one of my maids to fetch you some clothes," he said.

i nodded and i felt him get off the bed.

he left the room and i released the breath i was holding in.

what happened last night?

i sat up and observed the room once again. he has black curtains and his room was mostly of mahogany and marble.

i pushed the grey bed sheets away and stood up. i observed myself in the circular mirror in his room.

ugh what a mess.

there was a knock on the door.

"miss-ahhhh! minhyuk! i think there's a monster in your room!"

i scoffed. is she for real right now? is it how everyone in the household is?

i smiled sarcastically.

"you must be looking for the girl he brought home," i said bitterly. i snatched the clothes from her hands. "it's this monster you're looking at," i continued. i faked a laugh and stopped suddenly with a straight face. "yeah, don't dare to ever call me that again," i growled.

the maid looked frightened.

"toodles!" i forced a smile and pushed her out the door. i slammed it shut and went to change.

i looked in the cabinets in the bathroom to find some essentials to help myself get ready. i didn't want to see the maids or minhyuk.

i felt something buzz in my clothes. it was my earpiece. how'd it get there?

i put it on.

"yes?"

"blair?" jooheon's voice spoke.

"that's me," i said audible only for he and i to hear.

"what's happening?"

"just woke up in the same bed as minhyuk and faced an annoying ass maid is all," i rolled my eyes.

"great," jooheon said.

i scoffed.

"look, you need to find out where exactly he lives. no one in our agency knows," he said.

"k, i got it. what else?"

"you need to look around his house for some clues or anything suspicious," he added.

"is that all?"

"yes."

"okay, i'll check up with you if i find something," i said and the call was over.

i finally found a toothbrush and started getting ready.

i finally looked normal again and walked out.

immediately, i was lost. it was huge and there were two pathways. one to the right, and the other to the left.

i shrugged and took the left one.

there were countless numbers of rooms. i decided to explore inside them, but nothing turned up.

there was a locked one at the end of the hall i felt suspicious about.

i walked towards it and was about to reach for the doorknob but-

"the staircase is this way."

i jumped and turned around quickly.

"minhyuk."

"follow me," he said, and i sensed slight worry in his voice.

"what's in there?" i asked innocently.

"nothing much," he said.

i mentally scoffed.

"just don't worry bout it, boo."

i was about to throw up, that very moment. i cringed.

"i still don't know your name, mysterious girl," he said.

i quickly composed myself.

"just don't worry bout it," i hesitated before saying, "boo."

"well played," he raised his brows in amusement.

i want to jump out a window, please.

"here's the kitchen," he said. "ladies first."

i forced a smile and walked in. immediately i saw that horrid maid.

we made eye contact and i stared daggers at her.

"seems a bit tense," minhyuk laughed.

i quickly smiled and laughed slightly. "ah, it is, isn't it? good morning, miss maid."

she simply bowed. i rolled my eyes as i turned away.

another maid came up to me.

"good morning, miss," she smiled. "please, have a seat. i'll be bringing you your breakfast soon."

"thank you," i smiled back. eh, they're not all that bad.

while eating breakfast, minhyuk asked many questions.

"where will you be staying?"

i shrugged. "i just got kicked out of my house."

"how could you get kicked out?" he furrowed his brows.

"don't ask me," i shrugged. "why do you think i went there last night. to get my mind off things, duh."

i finished the last of the breakfast and a maid took my dishes.

"do you mind if i look around the house? so i could get familiar with it," i asked.

he looked hesitant before nodding. "i won't be here until evening because of," he looked at me. "business."

i nodded.

"well, i'll be off now," he said to everyone in the dining room.

"goodbye, minhyuk!" the maids waved and he left. the moment he left, the all sighed and groaned...in relief?

"err, what's with that?" i asked awkwardly.

"oh, honey," a maid said. "this is lee minhyuk, a tyrant."

"if you guys despise him that much, why do you work for him?"

"most of us were forced and some of us, well, this was our last resort. we had lost our families and homes because of him," she said.

"oh," i said.

"b-but...," the maid stuttered. "who are you? there isn't a single soul who doesn't know of him...why are you choosing to get involved with him?"

i sighed. "i don't know," i shrugged. "must be something wrong with me."

"are you part of a secret spy thing?" she asked quietly, only for us to hear.

i laughed. "whaaat? where'd you get that idea from?"

she bit her lip and pulled me to an empty room nearby.

"i came from a secret agency, too."
