Dom's POV
Today was Kat's last day in the hospital. Her mom had her flight this morning and told Kat to call her when she was safe. I would catch Kat's mom looking at me smiling every once in a while I'm gonna embarrass Kat with that later. I'm watching her peacefully sleep, her red curls framing her face and her perfect smile and nose. I wish I knew what she was dreaming about.
"HELLO!" Emeraude yelled with Alberto behind her.
I looked at both of them telling them to shut up with my eyes
"Kat I'm sorry I didn't know you were asleep"
I looked down at Kat to see her shooting daggers at Em. Then she grabbed my hand and shifted her body so she was laying on my hand like a pillow and she closed her beautiful green eyes. I just smiled at her rubbing her back.
"Awe you guys are so adorable" Em said and Alberto nodded his head to agree.
I heard Kat groan and get up.
"I can see that I'm not gonna get any sleep"
"You were sleeping most of the day Kat" I responded
She looked over at me with her eyes wide and her hand over her heart and gasped
"God I thought you were on my side"
Alberto giggled in the corner
"Aww poor baby"
Kat went over and punched Alberto's arm with her good hand.
"Christ did they give her steroids"
Em and I laughed.
Kat's POV
"Come here Kat"
I walked over and sat on Dom's lap and lied my head on his shoulder.
"It's nice not being stuck in that bed being injected with drugs that I've never heard of in my life"
Dom laughed at me
"So are you two a thing now?"Em asked
Before we could answer my nurse Cheryl walked in.
"Why hello there hun bun"
"Hi Cheryl"
"Can I talk to you with these people in here I know Dom but who are these two"
"This is Emeraude and Alberto our friends and yes you can talk with them in here"
"How are ya feeling? Did you have a nightmare last night I know you've had quite a few lately?"
"No actually I slept quite well last night thank god."
I've been having nightmare after nightmare about Charlie and everything that we've been through my most recent one was of Dom and I watching a movie snuggling and everything was perfect until Charlie broke in and threw his whiskey bottle at us and ripped me away from Dom yelling at me why I did this to us and why I gave up on him and how if I moved he would kill Dom then I flinched I heard I gun shot and I woke up. Every time I have a nightmare Dom snuggles with me and runs his fingers through my hair and kisses my forehead and it feels like pure heaven.
"I'm glad to hear that honey"
"What time do I get out?"
"Actually I came to tell you that you're leaving earlier than expected you can leave in fifteen minutes"
"That's awesome" Dom replied
I smiled at him and kissed his cheek.
"Ok honey I hope everything goes well good bye sweetie"
"Bye Cheryl thank you so much"
"It was my pleasure can't wait to see you all on my new favorite show"
And then she left.
"So to answer your question Em no we aren't a thing"Dom said
I was shocked I thought he liked me. I just looked down and twiddled my thumbs. Then he grabbed both of my hands and held them.
Dom's POV
Seeing Kat look down at her hands sad made my heart break I didn't mean it like that I just didn't finish
"We aren't a thing because I haven't asked her on a date yet"
Then Kat lifted her head back up and looked at me. I kissed her cheek reassuring her that I'm in love with her.
"I was about to come punch you Dom" Em said.
"What is with all of the punching in this room like damn" Alberto replied
"Aww oh my gosh"Em said
"What"I replied
"Look at her"
I looked down on my shoulder to see Kat laying her head down in the crook of my neck and fighting to stay up until she gave up and fell asleep snuggling my chest.
"Ok Dom we're gonna go see you both later"
"bye guys"I whispered
I kissed the top of her head to wake her up
"Kit Kat we can go now let's go to my car"
"Carry me" she mumbled
"Really Kat"
"110% you've carried me in the show before so I know you can do it, come on show me your muscles" I laughed at her response
"I don't know"
She looked up at me with puppy dog eyes pouting. She looked so cute so I bent down and kissed her. Her hands were around my neck as mine were going up and down her sides. I kissed her passionately not having to worry about anymore injuries. We pulled away taking a much needed breath.
"See now I'm out of breath so you need to carry me"
"You'll be the death of me Kat"
"But what a way to go" she replied
I laughed and kissed her neck then picked her up bridal style walking to the car. God I'm in love with you Kat.
