"Emory's lucky. This is our first real break in over a year and it's only her second day." I joked, taking a bite of my pancake. We all got a call from Hotch informing us that we have a week break and it's the other team's turn to work.

"I know right. What are you guys' plans?" Penelope asked, gulping down her glass of orange juice.

"I'm flying down to visit family." JJ smiled, finishing the rest of her breakfast.

"Soulmate searching," Penelope muttered under her breath, causing us all to laugh.

"I think the rest of us are staying home, right?" Derek asked, picking up all of the finished plates and bringing them to the sink in Elle's kitchen. A chorus of 'yeses' was muttered through the kitchen.

"Let's play a game!" JJ offered, gesturing for Derek to sit down. He did so and she smirked, picking up her wine glass she used and setting it in the middle of the table, "How about some old fashioned seven minutes in heaven?" Really? How childish are you.

"First off, I'm thirty years old. Secondly, I'm not making out with my niece in a closet." Derek said with annoyance and amusement.

"If it lands on Emory you can respin." JJ compromised.

"I'm not really comfortable with the idea of this." I muttered standing up from the table, about to leave.

"Man you gotta stay, don't ditch." Derek said, pulling on my arm. I looked down to Emory who had been sitting next to me and to JJ and Elle and Penelope and Derek. I will have to go into a closet with one of these people for seven whole minutes. Not my cup of tea.

"But-" I was about to say but Emory cut me off.

"I have to stay because A. I'm sleeping here and B. If I tried to leave Uncle Derek would force me to stay and I have to listen to him because he's my uncle. If I have to stay, your staying too bud." She tugged on my arm and made me sit back down. I groaned and JJ smiled.

"Great, I'll go first." She spun the glass and it slowly came to a stop on Penelope. I had to hide my laughter as the two got up and walked to Elle's closet, "C'mon hot mama." JJ joked and opened the door, walking in after Penelope.

"Oh my God." I muttered, placing my head in my arms on the table.

Seven minutes went by and they came out in eruptions of laughter.

"I vote Emory next." Derek smirked, nudging his niece with his elbow. She gave him and glare and scoffed, spinning the glass when everyone sat down. It slowed down and spun right to me.

"Emory's gonna be Reid's first kiss!" Derek shouted with laughter. My cheeks flared up and I awkwardly looked at my feet, "I'm teasing. Go on." He made Emory stand up and she and I went to the closet. I slowly shut the door behind me, leaving us in awkward silence.

"Listen, I'm not gonna make you do anything because I'm just as awkward about this as you are and-" she cut me off with a laugh.

"Rules are rules, Reid." She smirked and stood on her tiptoes, placing her lips on mine. I didn't know how to react. Like Derek said, this is my first kiss, "You don't need me to teach you, do you?" She said against my lips. I slowly shook my head and began to kiss back. Her arms snaked around my neck and I quickly placed my arms under her knees so she could jump, which she did. Her back was pressed against the wall and I had her legs under each of my arms.

"Seven minutes is up, love birds." Derek's teasing voice sounded from outside the door.

"We were just talking Uncle Derek. I promise." She winked at me and walked straight out of the closet like nothing happened. I can tell Derek is like a dad to her. She still follows his rules and isn't very rebellious, and if she didn't give anything away when she walked out I sure would. I quickly fixed my tee shirt and walked out behind her with my head down. I took my seat next to her and coughed a bit.

"Let's not play anymore. I've gotta head out anyways. I've got plans with- um, Gideon." I nodded, standing up and shoving my chair underneath the table.

"You have plans with Gideon?" Derek laughed, rubbing his chin, "You're lying, but I'll let you have it."

"Well, I'm going downstairs to talk to the receptionist about getting my own key." Emory said, standing up as well. She wasn't doing that. I've been working for too long to know that she is lying. I walked out the door and began to pace in the hallway.

Soon, Emory walked out and smirked at me.

"So, pretty boy, first kiss? You did pretty good." She teased, leaning against the wall. I don't know about her, and maybe it's just because it's my first kiss, but I felt something. Maybe, I don't know.

"Emory, why do I feel weird? Why is my stomach doing these weird things?" I asked, embarrassed.

"Genius here doesn't know about romance? I'm shocked." I gave her a blank look and she just sighed, "What are you looking for, Spencer? We just met." She spoke quietly as if she were feeling it too.

"I just want to know if you felt something too." I asked, rubbing the side of my arm awkwardly. Hopefully.

She took a minute to respond and her face had already turned red. She was hesitant, but she responded.

"N-no. I didn't."

She was lying. And I knew that for a fact.
