I walked into the crowded hallway full of 7th graders, "Sabrina Collins," the announcer called, "Superior." "Ashley Headers, superior." Sabrina and Ashley exploded with excitement and let out screams of happiness. They were best friends, and the most popular girls in school. It's not surprising to me that they were placed as superiors. Chatter of the newly installed unionizing system at our school, engulfed the line of students waiting to discover what group they would be placed in. The announcer continued to call names in alphabetical order. As the line moved forward I passed a poster that advertised the grouping system.

"Superiors- the prettiest and most well-liked kids in the entire school.
Followers- the sidekicks, the ones who support and follow the superiors.
Eternities- the nice and quiet ones, the good kids, the teacher's pets.
Castaways- the nerdy kids, sometimes strange or weird.
Outsiders- the most disliked or annoying kids in school.

The new unions are prohibited from mixing, students will interact with students from their union only, during school hours.
-thanks, principle Lavina"

I'll probably be an eternity, if I'm lucky, a follower, but definitely not a superior. "Robert Parchmen," the announcer shouted, "Castaway." The line was gradually thinning, students heading home after they were assigned, some left happy, some upset. There were probably about 20 people left, out of the entire school. With my name being "Juliet Ralston", I was normally toward the end of the list. "Lily Trimmer, eternity," he called. "Wait," I said quietly under my breath. Lily's last name is Trimmer, I should be before her on the list. The announcer called the last of the names and ended with a satisfied sigh. "Well, that should be everyone," he said, and headed down the hallway. "Wait, sir," I called, but he didn't hear me. I noticed he left the clipboard on the stool beside where he was sitting, I walked toward it. I found my name on the 8th page, and traced my finger down the column with my name in it, but there was nothing there. "Wait," I said to myself and traced my finger again, just to be sure. "I didn't get assigned to a group at all," I said, still talking to myself. It's like they forgot about me, or did they just accidentally skip my name? How is that even possible? "It's like I'm invisible," I whispered. I'm sure there's a light bulb above my head right now. I wrote "invisibles" next to my name in the column where everyone else's Union was written. I'm not an eternity, or follower, I'm an invisible...
