I can't wait for lunch! Sadly, I have to though, stupid math class, I can not believe I actually told Toby that I like him! I don't know what it is, but when I'm around him I don't feel so shy and quiet, I don't feel invisible. As the bell rings, I'm filled with excitment, time for lunch!
Walking through the lunch line I see burnt pizza, dry spaghetti, and sloppy joes, yikes. I pick up a plate of spaghetti, (even though I'm absolutely positive that I'm not going to eat it,) and keep moving, back to our table. I waited about ten minutes before I texted Toby to ask him where he is. He texted me back saying, "sorry, I'm running late, but I'm coming :)." So, I continued to stare at my spaghetti in disgust, until I looked up and saw Sabrina and Ashley standing right in front of me. Oh great. "Um... Can I help you?" I asked awkwardly. "Actually," Ashley started, "you can." I raised my eyebrows to say, "what?" "You can stay away from Toby," Sabrina continued. "I'm sorry, but I don't think you get a say in who I can and can't talk to," I said as nicely as possible. "Awe, that's too bad," Ashley mocked as Sabrina push my plate over, spilling spaghetti all over my new outfit.
Oh, gee, thanks Sabrina, I really needed a spaghetti shower.
I heard giggles and chuckles from Sabrina, Ashley, and the rest of the superiors. Until the laughing was silenced by an angry voice, it was Toby. "Sabrina!" He shouted, "what are you doing?!" "Whoops," she replied, "come on, tell me that wasn't funny."
Well, I can tell you I'm not enjoying this.
Toby stayed silent, "you have no sense of humor," Ashley said as the superiors walked away. Toby handed me a pile of napkins and sat down across the table from me. "Are you alright?" He asked. "Yeah, I mean I'm gonna smell like marinara sauce for the rest of the day but.." I laughed. "Well, who doesn't like marinara sauce?" He asked jokingly. "Well, I'm going to head home and change clothes," I said as I got up to leave. "Okay, see ya, Jules," he said. "Bye Toby," I replied.
