"I hate these stupid unions!" I screamed at myself while banging my head on the cafeteria table over and over again. "Me too," I hear a familiar voice. Crap, Jules! Who did you just make a fool of yourself to? I lift my head to see who it is. "Oh, I did not know that you were standing there," I say awkwardly. He laughs a little, "Hi, I'm Toby." "I know," I reply, then I see the confused expression on his face and realize that i just said something really, really stupid, now I want to bang my head on the table again. "I mean, I only know your name cause your super popular, and I'm not super popular, like, at all, I'm actually probably the opposite of popular, yet you're still talking to me and- am I saying all of this out loud?" I rambled. I looked up to Toby's smiling face, his perfect smile, And crystal blue eyes, gosh, why is he so perfect? Wait- I'm not saying any of this out loud, right?- okay, good, I'm not. Although, I am sitting here like an idiot while the most popular boy at my school is trying to talk to me. "So!" I said way too loudly, "why aren't you with your union?" "Well," he started, "I was absent the day that they assigned the unions, so.. I don't exactly have one," he said with his voice getting a little higher at the end of his sentence. I nodded understandingly, "yeah, I was here that day, but they completely forgot about me," I explained, "I actually made up a name for my very own, personal union, 'invisibles,' what do you think?" "I think that, that is super nerdy," Toby said playfully. "No way, your just jealous that you aren't in my union." "Is that so?" He asked, laughing, "well, can I be a part of your union?" "Let me think about it," I responded and pretending to be thinking about when all I could focus on was his perfect smile. "I thought about it, and I think you can join my union," I said, "your are now, invisible." "Oh, great, thanks" he said sarcastically, "I'm honored."
