"What are you two doing here? How did you find my house? Why are you here?" Ryan could only ask questions, being struck in shock.
"We came to check up on you. You and Jeremy need to talk. I can't have the two men in my life having a bad relationship with each other. And you sent me a letter from your house like four or five months ago..." Ryan's mother walked into his living room and sat down, scanning the place.
"I have nothing to say to you or Nate, so can you please leave? Don't take it personally squirt." Ryan ruffled his brother's hair. His mother stoof up and grabbed Nathan's hand, leading him towards the door.
"Look, we're staying at the hotel near by, the really tiny one. Anyways, please stop by in the morning to say goodbye..." his mother pleaded. "I have school. But I'll try." Ryan lied, gazing at the floor.
As soon as they left, Felix walked up his driveway, waving to his mom. Ryan ran out to greet him. "Hey, what are you doing here?" Ryan tried to put on a fake smile but Felix saw through it.
"Who was the woman who just left? Your mom? And the kid next to her, I'm assuming your brother?" Felix asked as they walked inside. Ryan only nodded. Felix stopped in the doorway and wrapped Ryan into a hug. A few tears escaped Ryan's eyes before he pulled away.
"Want me to make some tea and then we can talk about it... if you want." Felix took Ryan's hand and pulled him into the kitchen.
She had made him his favorite tea and they talked as if nothing had happened between them, as if they never stopped talkiing.
"Are you okay? I've seen you in the hallways and you're always looking depressed or running out of school as if someone was after you." Felix stated after a couple minutes of silence. Ryan only looked at his hands as he was thinking about what he just asked.
"Well... ever since we had that fight... I've been drinking like crazy. You know like throwing glasses, breaking things. I just... I just feel lost. I explain what I do because I don't know how I feel. All I know is that I need a friend right now." Ryan admitted.
Felix stared at him for a moment and then finally answered him. "I will always be there for you. No matter what. If you ever need to talk then cal me and I'll be over as soon as I can, no matter the hour. I'm not losing you again, ever." Felix leaned over and hugged Ryan, he of course hugging him back tightly. They spent the rest of the night cuddling, eating goldfish and watching movies.
Felix's phone buzzed and he saw he got a message from Stephano.
Hey, look. It's clear you don't like me as much as your little friend, so I guess this is goodbye. I'll see you later
Felix read the message and almost lost himself, but he knew Syephano was right but he was hoping Ryan didn't see the text.
"Everything okay with Stephano?" Ryan asked.
Shit. Felix thought.
