Tough Love (Bruce Banner x reader)

Silly surprise

         He leaned in and you blushed darkly, your heartbeat sped up. That is until his hand reached past your shoulder, to something behind you. Your now red cheeks went pale as he now held your katana, or should I say Strife's katana. He immediately recognized who's it was and asked quietly, "W-Why do you have this?". You frowned and tried to think of something quickly, "She attacked me! That's why I have the cut, and also why I have the katana", you spat out quickly. He was shocked and angered by your answer. "She hurt you!?", he asked as green flashed in his eyes. You grabbed his hands and made him look at you, "Take a deep breath and close your Bruce", you said calmly. He took a deep breath and closed his eyes. You kissed his cheek and put your head on his shoulder. After a few seconds, you asked, "F-Feeling better?". He chuckled, causing you blush a bit darker, "Much better", he said, "but I'm still going to tell the Avengers to hunt down this "Strife", for hurting you". You mentally facepalmed because he was gonna hunt you down because you supposedly hurt yourself. Ugh too stressful. "Uh h-how about we tell them together? I would love to meet them when my life isn't in peril for once", you said, trying to get the subject off of strife. He smiled. " Great idea. Plus you would be safer in Stark tower. ", he said. You got up," Alright let's go", you said. "But you might wanna put a shirt on first", he said chuckling. You rolled your eyes, giggling and threw on a purple long sleeve shirt and some jean shorts and converse. "How would you feel about moving in? Since you are gonna start working there", he asked. You thought about it, "How would I get to college on time? it's pretty far", you asked, tying your hair up. "Either by motorcycle or we can borrow one of Tony's helicopters", he said. "Well, if he's ok with it, then I guess so", you said walking to Bruce. He smiled and you both walked outside and went back onto your motorcycle. 

      You drove off with Bruce to where he said Stark Tower was. As you parked, you realized that you should have dressed more appropriately because, duh your meeting the Avengers( AGAIN). As you walk in with Bruce and go into the elevator, you tug at your shorts pulling them down. Bruce noticed this and slipped his hand into yours, "You look fine, don't be nervous". You smiled and looked at his hand, it was bigger than yours and warm, unscarred. The elevator doors opened and you were welcomed by a robotic voice, "Welcome back Bruce and guest, please identify yourself, guest". "I-I'm Y, n,... Y, n l, n ( last, name) ", you said shifting uncomfortably. "Welcome y, n I shall alert Tony and the other's that we have a guest", the robotic voice said. Bruce walked you over to what looked like a living room but wayyyy more expensive looking. 'Tony must be really full of himself', you thought as you and Bruce sat down on the nice leather couch. Suddenly, Tony walked out in a suit and sunglasses with the rest of the Avengers. Captain America had his hair kind of floofy looking and was wearing a white tee shirt with blue non-tight jeans his whole outfit was humble and made his eyes and muscles pop. You tried not to let your face heat up, yes you liked Bruce but you were a fangirl of Captain America. Natasha A.K.A Black widow walked out in some shorts and a blue tee shirt, Thor walked out looking like Thor, same outfit as usual. And... a young teenager. It took you a few seconds to realize who he was, of course, the AMAZING Spiderman. You smiled and waved politely at all of them.  They waved back. "Weren't you there when Bruce got eaten? y, n right?", Steve said (Captain America's name is steve rogers). "Y-Yes that's me ", you said as you tried to stop yourself from fangirl screaming. "I'm Natasha", the Black widow said as she shook your hand. You felt something as you shook your hand. Like a rivalry of something unknown between you two. "Nice to meet you", you said as you let go of her hand. "I am Thor of Asgard", Thor said smiling at you. "And I am Y,n of (where ever you live)", you said giggling. This made thor laugh. "And I am the brains of the projects, the mad scientist, the billionar-", Tony started but was cut off by the others, "WE GET IT", they yelled, causing you to laugh. They were like one big family. 

"And last but not least, I am Peter Parker", the teenager said shaking your hand. "I've heard good things about you", you said shaking his hand back and walking back over to Bruce. "Fury said it is alright for her to work in the lab with Stark and I, so she will be living here now with your permission Tony.", Bruce said. Tony sighed, "Sure why not". You smiled happily and hugged Bruce tightly, "Thank you Mr. Stark". You heard Natasha growl and Peter said, "aww". You blushed lightly and let go. "No problem, but Bruce should be the one to show you around", Tony said smiling a bit. "Alright", he said. "I'll join and show you a few moves in the gym", Natasha said joining you and Bruce. 

~Time skip~

     "And this is the lab", Bruce said showing you a large room with amazing machines and white walls. Your inner geek came out, "This is amazing ", you said examining the chemicals. "Yeah.. it is", Bruce said in a dazed voice. You turned to Bruce to see him staring at you, your face heated up, "U-Uh Bruce?", you said snapping your fingers. He snapped out of it blushing, "S-Sorry uh, t-to the Gym", he said stumbling out of the lab. You chuckled and followed. There was Natasha, in her black widow suit, with Stark, Rogers, Thor, and Peter were on the side, sitting down. You looked at Bruce skeptically, "Do you guys want me to fight her?". "I don't know, I was not aware of this", Bruce said shooting Stark a look. Stark shrugged. "Come on, I do this to all the new people", Natasha said boastfully as she picked up a katana. "I didn't have to fight you when I joined", Peter said, but Natasha shot him a look and he backed off. "Ok then", you said picking up a katana and getting in a stance. Out of the corner of your eye, you saw Stark and Peter exchanging money as if they were betting. You smirked as your eyes turned purple as did your hair, and you got into a fighting position. She charged at you and jumped up swinging the katana at you. You dodged it quickly and smacked her down with the handle of your katana. She fell down but recovered quickly and swept her legs making you fall. She took this advantage to pick you up by your leg and throw you into the wall. You grunted as the air was knocked out of your lungs but got up. She chuckled as you got up and ran to you again, trying to stab you with the katana. You grabbed the katana blade with both hands without being cut. It made a loud metal sound. Natasha was in the air astonished. She still held onto the blade, "Big mistake", you mumbled as you threw her as hard as you could against the wall and landed a few punches on her before she kicked you off. You tumbled down and landed on your back. She tried to stab you in the chest, but you grabbed the blade again, this time you did cut your hands.

        She smiled seeing your pained expression, that's when your eyes red with fiery and you felt power rush to your hands, you shot reddish power energy out of your hands right at her and with that, she was on the ground for good. You got up, and instantly ran over to her, "I'm sorry! Are you ok?!". She groaned and looked up at you. You offered your hand to help her up, but instead, she slashes your face.  You staggered backward and touched the cut on your face to see blood on your hands. Bruce ran to you and looked at your cheek, "come with me". "Jesus, Nat what was that for?", Hawkeye asked coming out of the vent. ( He literally lives in the vents) "I was j-just teaching her a lesson.", she said as he helped her up. "The lesson that your jealous", he said chuckling a bit. Nat just walked off to her room and locked the door. You flinched as Bruce pressed on your cut a bit, "I don't understand why she acted like that", he said. "We were just sparring, sometimes people get carried away, that's all", you said gently pulling bruce's hand away from your cheek. "I think I got it this time", you told him as your hand started to glow a bright purple and you placed it on your cheek. It stung but when you took your hand away, the cut had healed. Bruce smiled in amazement and examined the cut, "Amazing". You smiled and Bruce led you to your room. After a while, he left your room and you sat down on your bed. That's when you felt something soft on it. You looked to see purple and green roses with a card that had a heart on it, but no name. You smiled a bit and sniffed them and put them on your dresser. You started to feel tired, so you shut off the light and laid on your bed. Suddenly, you felt as if you weren't alone, but you couldn't see that anyone was there, a creepy voice said, "I know who you areeeeeee~", and then disappeared. You sat but saw no one. As you pulled the covers over your head, 'who was that and what do they mean" I know who you are"?!". You felt yourself go pale because you realized, someone knew that you were strife.
