Chapter 2

Beatrice POV: It's been three weeks since the apocalypse happen. It was a rough journey for my sister to go threw since my mother died. We went into a little cabin and we make a campfire, ate the last of our food we had. Lauren saying good night to me and sister, before we going to bed.

I wake up to a bright sunny day. I wake my friend, then Alice to move on. We walked out the cabin and start walking. When we saw a deer peeking in the bushes. We stopped, I think to myself This is the most beautiful deer I ever seen. We were so fascinated, when we see a boy try to touch the deer.

I saw the boy's body went in the ground "No...No!" a similar voice I herd  before. It was Rick, "Rick" I shouted "Beatrice!" I run to him, he hug me. "I thought you were dead". I start to cry "Carl has been shot, we need help". Carl been shot in the stomach. "Shane, can you get the others that Carl got shot" Rick said.

Shane picks up his weapons and start to running, to find the others. "Carl...Carl...!" shaking Carl's body "I see a farm and house" said Alice. Me, Rick and Lauren get up off the ground and Rick picks up Carl and start to towards the farm. While we are running, Rick start to tear up.

As soon we got out of the woods. There it was, the farm. There was people come out of the house and the old man come out of the group "Was he bit?" "No he was shot by your man" "Otis?" the woman said. "He said there was a man named Hershel" the old man goes near us " Get him inside". We went inside and we follow him. Rick put CarI in the bed.

As we watch the whole group helped Carl. He check Carl's pulse "We got a heartbeat". Rick's face reliefs "I got it,step back". "Maggie, I.V" "We need some space, take the kids to the room".

"Your name?" "Rick". he said his name twice. "Rick, we're gonna do everything we can, okay" "Okay" Rick said. Rick takes us to a other room " I hope Carl is okay?" with a sad face. " Me too, Beatrice. Alice brings a rag and clean Rick's face, he's cover with Carl's blood. When the man called him in the room. " Be right back, okay?" "Okay Rick", Then he leaves to the room. "It's okay Beatrice, at least we found him" Lauren said with a smile. She always there for me when I need her.

We hear Rick screaming "Don't Killed him!" and carl crying in pain. It kills me to see Carl like that. Rick out of the room and I see a Band-Aid on his arm, he must take blood of him and put blood in Carl to safe his life. Rick sits down and look at us. "He's out of danger for now". "You saw he was". " I know that was the shallow ones, but we need to go deeper to get the bullets out said Hershel. The man who shot Carl is getting the extra supplies for the doctor. "Where is your Wife?" said the young girl. "My friend, Shane is getting my wife and the others". "Okay, I'm going to find her before your friend gets to them. "Thank you Maggie" she goes to them.

" Lori, still alive?"  "Yes, we was  in the high way with our group, and a little girl from our group was chased by walkers in the woods and makes her hide in the river, but she not there, Soo we search for her" "What was the girl's name?" ask Alice. "Sophia". "That's is a pretty name" say Lauren. "It is a pretty name" we all look at each other.

When we Lori and Maggie on the horse. We all get up and go outside. I seen Lori crying while they hugged each other. We get to the room and see Carl in bed. Lori was worries about him. I sat down with Lori and I put my hand on her shoulders. She hugged me and crying with tears. "Carl, is going to be okay, Lori" " I know he is" " I miss you Lori".

My sister comes to the other side of Lori. "I miss both of you guys". " I'm going to check on Lauren, okay Beatrice"

"Okay, I be with Lori and Rick and Carl". She nods her head and went to check on Lauren.

Shane comes in with the supplies, but where is Otis? but I don't care right now. "Lets get him ready for surgery". After his surgery, he is looks much better than before. "Rick, can I see Carl? "Okay  you loud to see Carl." I went to Carl's room and he saw come in. "Beatrice, is that you?". " Yeah it's me Carl" with a smile on my face and he smiles back. Me and Him talked all day about What happed to us in apocalypse and think about the great memories. we laughing and smiling " After you get better, my sister want to see you, she miss you". Carl looks at me " Are you sleepy?" ask Carl. " yes I am, I did have a crazy day today" "You loud to sleep here with  me if you want" I start to blush. "Okay that's fine with me". Me and him are getting ready go to sleep " You know what's weird, Carl".

"What" ask Carl. "I feel safe with you".

"Me too" said Carl. " Let's go to bed now". I get into the blankets and close my eyes. At least I'm not going to get nightmares tonight.
